Question about incorporating the folding kayak page ==

Hi all, has anyone given any thought to incorporating the Folding Kayak page into the kayak page? Thank you for your thoughts. RRFWTommartin (talk) 18:31, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Secondary Stability which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 21:09, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

4000 years old

The claim that kayaks are 4000 years old cites the defunct website of an author-less and source-less kayak store blurb. This has no purpose being cited here. The claim should at least be flagged as citation needed, but I believe the whole sentence has no purpose being there. Emaskask (talk) 10:37, 13 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Final paragraph in displacement section

Final paragraph currently begins: About 20% of the US population are not in this 65–85 kg (143–187 lb) weight range; either they are too heavy, and will sink almost all commercial kayaks, or they are too light and small to paddle the smallest ones without difficulty. ... This is in response to the previous paragraph, which says Most manufacturers make kayaks for paddlers weighing 65–85 kg. This is based on a misreading of the source. The source says that most manufacturers include smaller canoes in their range. They’re including lighter peope, not excluding heavier people. I suggest deleting the final paragraph, but that seemed a bit drastic without discussion. --Northernhenge (talk) 10:05, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting the paragraph is OK with me, as it is all too speculative and dubious information. Kanoniem (talk) 11:03, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
