This user account is a bot that uses PHP, operated by Wbm1058 (talk). It is used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually, in accordance with the bot policy. This bot account is responsible for maintaining the Wikipedia:Requested moves process. This includes:
- Maintaining Wikipedia:Requested moves/Current discussions, the list of current requested move discussions.
- Maintaining Wikipedia:Requested moves/Current discussions (alt), an alternate version of the above list.
- Maintaining Wikipedia:Dashboard/Requested moves, a summary of requested moves.
- Maintaining Wikipedia:Requested moves/Current discussions (table), a table of current requested move discussions. (v 6.40)
- Notifying talk pages that are named in multi-move requests.
- Notifying talk pages of WikiProjects which aren't subscribed to Article Alerts and whose talk pages transclude templates beginning

- When the target's talk page has non-redirecting content, the bot now posts a notice on that destination talk page. (v 5.20)
- When the target's talk page is a redirect to a different page other than the page which has been requested to be moved, the bot follows that redirect, and if that target's talk page has non-redirecting content, the bot posts a notice there too. (v 5.21)
- When the new page proposed for moving to redirects to a different page than the page that is proposed for moving (the RM implies a change in primary topic), and that redirect does not have a talk page, the bot posts a notice on the talk page of the target. (v 6.26)
- A notice is posted to the top of each page which has been requested to be moved, including the additional pages named in multi-move requests. (v 6.11)
- This subject-space notification is removed when the discussion is closed. (v 6.00)
RMCD bot generally runs every 15 minutes. Some pages maintained by this bot rank high on the list of pages with the most revisions.

In the event of unwanted or malfunctioning notifications:
- Put {{bots|deny=RMCD bot}} on the top of any page that you don't want RMCD bot to edit.
