[edit]

I have translated the French page on Dougga as it was far superior to the English one, but I would like confirmation of one detail if anyone out there is able to provide it: The French original states that the site was prosperous from the reign of Diocletian until that of Theodosius the Elder. As far as I understand it, Theodosius the Elder was a general, not emperor, but his son, Theodosius I was emperor. I have therefore assumed that this is a mistake in the French original and that the reference should be to the reign of Theodosius I and not to that of Theodosius the Elder. Is this correct? This edit included the detail that the name meant or means "pastures" in Berber. That was an unsourced detail but is there good reason to have doubted and removed it? — LlywelynII 09:04, 3 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, this edit glossed TBGG as being read Thuburgga. Is there a reason to think that was wrong? — LlywelynII 09:18, 3 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
