Wills menghimpun aransemen seperti jazz dan band tersebut meraih ketenaran nasional pada 1940an dengan hit-hit seperti "Steel Guitar Rag", "New San Antonio Rose", "Smoke On The Water", "Stars And Stripes On Iwo Jima", dan "New Spanish Two Step".
