The coat o airms o Burkina Faso contains a shield based on the naitional banner. Abuin the shield the name o the kintra is shawn, while belaw it is the naitional motto, Unité, Progrès, Justice (French for "Unity, Progress, Juistice"). The supporters are twa white stallions. This coat o airms is seemilar tae the auld Upper Volta coat o airms (see belaw), wi the Burkina Faso banner replacin the Upper Volta banner in the middle.
