Conversio religiosa
Conversio[1] religiosa, vel puriore Latinitate fortasse commutatio sententiae de deis,[2] est copiam opinionum vel fiderum unius religionis vel denominationis religiosae asciscere, omnibus aliis denominationibus vel religionibus exclusis. Conversio religiosa derelictionem unius denominationis et cooptationem in aliam describere potest, fortasse ab alia ad aliam sectam intra eandem religionem, exempli gratia, intra Christianismum a secta Baptista ad ecclesiam Catholicam et intra religionem Islamicam a secta Sunnitica ad sectam Siiticam.[3] Conversio religiosa aliquando "commutationem identitatis religiosae significat, et per praecipuos ritus repraesentat."[4][5] Homines se in aliam religionem vel sectam multis de causis commutant.
