Anders Kvamme Jensen (born 1968[1]) is a Norwegian businessman, fund manager, and the founder of the AKJ ecosystem.[2] He serves as the chairman and CEO of AK Jensen Group Limited, a global corporation that provides services to hedge funds and institutional clients.

Early life and education

[edit]

Kvamme Jensen completed a bachelor's degree in finance at the University of Denver (DU) in 1992. After graduating from DU, he attended Harvard University, but dropped out in 1995 to establish AKJ.[3]

Early career

[edit]

After leaving Harvard, Kvamme Jensen founded the American brokerage firm AK Jensen Inc. and AKJ Asset Management, in 1995. The firms, regulated by FINRA,[4] marked his entry into the financial sector.

Establishment of AKJ Hedge Fund and expansions

[edit]

Kvamme Jensen established the AKJ Hedge Fund in collaboration with Leif H. Olsen, the former chief economist at Citibank in 1998.[5]

In 2002, he founded AK Jensen Limited in the United Kingdom, regulated by the FCA,[6] to expand the company's presence in the financial markets. This then led to the formation of AK Jensen Group Limited in 2003, which consolidated his different business ventures under one corporate umbrella.[7]

Kvamme Jensen's companies consist of two sister companies, in nine different locations. Their headquarters are in London.[8][9]

Involvement in cryptocurrencies

[edit]

Since 2017, Kvamme Jensen and AKJ have been particularly focused on tokenization, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain technology through the subsidiary AKJc.[10] In 2018, AKJc launched AKJx, a security token. Due to this involvement, he has been used as an industry speaker for crypto in media including Financial Times and Reuters.[11]
