Anthony Potero (born July 30, 2001) is an American YouTuber and entrepreneur best known for his comedy videos on his YouTube channel, formerly called anthpo. As of 2024, he has amassed 1.8 million subscribers, gaining popularity for his YouTube content and vlogs at Rutgers University.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Anthony Potero was born on July 30, 2001, in New Jersey. He developed an interest in video production and comedy at a young age, often creating skits and short films with friends. Potero graduated on May 14th, 2023 from Rutgers University New Brunswick with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing.
Online career
[edit]Potero initially gained popularity from the improv sketch comedy show "1 Minute Talk Show" before creating content at Kingsway Regional High School, where he went viral for videos like "Harassing people with fat Yoshi." He then created skit content such as "Every Episode of Avatar the Last Airbender." His "Until Graduation[2][3]" series, where he documented his time until graduation, further solidified his presence on the platform.
After uploading a goodbye video and taking a year hiatus, Potero reentered the YouTube scene rebranded, announcing he would upload one video per month for two years[4], before doing whatever the top comment suggested on that video. This unique approach garnered significant attention and engagement from his audience, showcasing his ability to innovate within the content creation space.

Also in 2023, he founded the KPOP group OKPOP. Additionally, he was a member of The House Nobody Asked For[6], a collaborative TikTok house known for its eclectic and humorous content. He has briefly done work for BigWeirdWorld[7], the educational TikTok show. He also runs another YouTube page called Cinematic Masterpieces, focusing on showcasing comedic short films and skits based on television and movies.
In October 2024, Po organized a Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest with a $50 grand prize. The event attracted significant media attention and was attended by Chalamet himself.[8]
Community engagement
[edit]Potero's influence in the YouTube community extends beyond his own channel. He has attended various YouTube conventions, including VidCon[9] from 2021-2023. Anthony Po has been involved in various philanthropic efforts, including substantial donations to Extra Life[10] and the Embrace The Kids[11] Foundation.
