Emily the Strange is an upcoming American animated film written by Pamela Ribon. It is based on the titular fictional character created by Rob Reger. The film is produced by Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation.

Production

Since 2000, Rob Reger has been trying to make a feature film adaptation of Emily. In 2005, it was reported that 20th Century Fox Animation would make a live action/animated feature film,[1] Kealan O’Rourke will rewrite the film's script.[2] In December 2016, it was reported that Horse Entertainment and Amazon Studios were in negotiations to make an animated film.[3]

In October 2024, Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation announced that they were adapting an animated film featuring Emily the Strange, and that the screenplay was being written by Pamela Ribon.[4]
