Author An untrimmed version of the same photo has the original photographer's name on the bottom: Duclos Photos, Dawson. This refers to a commercial photographer in Dawson, Joseph Duclos (1863-1917), see http://members.shaw.ca/bchistorian/cw1-d-names.html for more details.
