Summary

Description The U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS New Orleans (LPH-11) underway in San Diego Bay, California (USA), on 16 June 1988. Sikorsky CH-53E Sea Stallion and Boeing CH-46 Sea Knight helicopters line the flight deck. In the background are the submarine tender USS McKee (AS-41) and the submarine rescue ship USS Florikan (ASR-9).
