John Paterson McGowan (24 Februari 1880 – 26 Maret 1952) adalah seorang pemeran, sutradara Hollywood dan terkadang penulis naskah dan produser. McGowan masih menjadi satu-satunya orang Australia yang menjadi anggota seumur hidup Screen Directors Guild (kini Directors Guild of America).
