Jafariyeh (Persian: جعفريه)[a] is a city in the Central District of Jafarabad County, Qom province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 6,635 in 1,516 households, when it was in the former Jafarabad District of Qom County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 7,203 people in 1,804 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 9,387 people in 2,552 households.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Jafarabad County, and Jafariyeh was transferred to the new Central District as the county's capital.[4]
