Jacqueline Ruth "Jacki" Weaver, AO (lahir 25 Mei 1947) merupakan seorang aktris film, televisi dan teater Australia. Ia dikenal luas karena perannya sebagai aktris dalam film Animal Kingdom (2010) dan Silver Linings Playbook (2012), keduanya mendapatkan nominasi Academy Awards kategori aktris pendukung terbaik.
Jacki Weaver muncul pada tahun 1970-an sebagai simbol Australian New Wave melalui karyanya dalam film Stork (1971), Alvin Purple (1973) dan Petersen (1974). Pada tahun 2005, ia merilis otobiografinya yang berjudul Much Love, Jac.[1]
Latar belakang
[sunting | sunting sumber]Jacki Weaver lahir di Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Ibunya, Edith Simpson, merupakan imigran Britania Raya, dan ayahnya, Arthur Weaver, merupakan pengacara di kota Sydney.[2] Ia melanjutkan pendidikannya di Hornsby Girls' High School dan mendapatkan beasiswa untuk melanjutkan pendidikannya di universitas jurusan sosiologi, namun ia memulai karier aktingnya.[3][4]
