Joey Lynn King[1] (lahir 30 Julai 1999)[2] ialah seorang pelakon Amerika Syarikat. Beliau terkenal kerana peranan dibintangi sebagai Ramona Quimby dalam Ramona dan Beezus, adaptasi siri buku 2010 Beverly Cleary dengan tajuk yang sama. Beliau juga telah muncul dalam filem-filem seperti Oz the Great and Powerful, The Conjuring and White House Down.
Kehidupan peribadi
[sunting | sunting sumber]Joey King yang dilahirkan di Los Angeles, California.[2] Dua kakaknya, Haley King dan Kelli King adalah juga pelakon wanita. Beliau berpindah ke California dan menghadiri Vista Fundamental Elementary School untuk tempoh yang pendek..[3]
Kerjaya
[sunting | sunting sumber]King telah muncul dalam beberapa filem seperti Reign Over Me bersama Adam Sandler, dan Quarantine. Beliau meminjamkan suaranya untuk watak bola bulu kuning bernama Katie, untuk filem animasi Horton Hears A Who! (2008), dan Beaver, untuk Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009). Pada 2010, beliau menjadi pelakon undangan untuk siri Ghost Whisperer. Beliau juga muncul dalam The Suite Life of Zack & Cody sebagai Emily Mason dalam dua episod. Kemunculan televisyen lain termasuk Entourage, CSI, dan Medium.
Peranan pertama King ialah pada 2010 menerusi filem Ramona and Beezus, adaptasi daripada siri buku Beverly Cleary, berlakon sebagai Ramona Quimby bersama Selena Gomez sebagai kakak sulungnya, Beezus Quimby.[4] Beliau juga mengeluarkan single filem itu bertajuk "Ramona Blue".
King muncul dalam filem Battle: Los Angeles, di mana beliau memegang watak sebagai Kirsten. Juga pada 2011, beliau berlakon bersama dalam Crazy, Stupid, Love, seterusnya beliau muncul dalam muzik video lagu Taylor Swift "Mean" sebagai pelajar muda di kafetera sekolah yang ditolak oleh rakan sebayanya.
King mempunyai peranan dalam filem Batman ketiga Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises (2012), sebagai Talia al Ghul kecil.[5] Beliau juga terlibat dalam siri komedi Bent dan membuat kemunculan khas dalam New Girl dan The Haunting Hour. Pada 2013, King muncul dalam Oz the Great and Powerful bersama James Franco dan Zach Braff, White House Down bersama Channing Tatum dan Jamie Foxx, Family Weekend, dan The Conjuring bersama Mackenzie Foy dan Vera Farmiga. Pada 2014, beliau muncul dalam Wish I Was Here bersama pelakon Oz Zach Braff, dan juga Fargo sebagai Greta Grimly, anak perempuan Gus Grimly.
Pada 2016 King memegang watak anak perempuan Courtney Love dalam filem drama The Possibility of Fireflies.[6] Pada tahun yang sama beliau memegang watak utama sebagi Claire dalam filem seram thriller yang akan datang Wish Upon.[7]
