Kara Tointon ye una actriz británica, más conocida por haber interpretáu a Dawn Swann na serie EastEnders.
Biografía
[editar | editar la fonte]Ye fía de Ken y Carol Tointon, y la so hermana menor ye l'actriz Hannah Tointon.
A lo siete años foi diagnosticada con dislexa.[ensin referencies]
Kara ye bien bona amiga de les actrices Lacey Turner y Natalie Cassidy.[ensin referencies]
Salió col cantante James Bourne,[1][2] pero la rellación terminó dempués de casi un añu.
N'abril de 2006, empezó a salir col actor James Alexandrou; sicasí la rellación terminó en payares de 2007.[ensin referencies]
N'ochobre de 2008, empezó a salir col actor Joe Swash, pero la pareya terminó en mayu de 2010.[3]
N'ochobre de 2010, empezó a salir col baillarín Artem Chigvintsev;[4][5][6] sicasí, a finales d'ochobre de 2014, Kara anunció que la rellación terminárase.[7]
Kara empezó a salir col doctor Marius Jensen, en xunu del 2018 la pareya anunció que se comprometiera.[8]
Carrera
[editar | editar la fonte]En 2001 interpretó de forma recurrente a la estudiante Pauline Young mientres la primer temporada de la serie Teachers.
El 26 de setiembre de 2005, xunir al repartu principal de la esitosa serie británica EastEnders, onde interpretó a Dawn Swann hasta'l 27 d'agostu de 2009.[9] Enantes apaeciera per primer vegada na serie en 1994, cuando interpretó a una amiga de la escuela de Sonia Fowler.
En 2008 participó nun especial pal Sport Relief del programa Strictly Come Dancing, onde bailló xunto al xugador Mark Ramprakash; la pareya ganó'l primer llugar.
N'agostu de 2009 foi presentada como la nueva cara de Michelle pa la ropa interior George en Asda.[10]
En setiembre de 2010, xunir al repartu que concursaría mientres la octava temporada de la serie Strictly Come Dancing, la so pareya foi'l baillarín Artem Chigvintsev y quedaron nel primer llugar.[11][12]
En xunetu del mesmu añu grabó'l documental Kara Tointon: Don't Call Me Stupid. El programa amosó l'impautu que tien la dislexa na vida de les persones y los distintos estilos d'aprendizaxe que pueden tener les persones con dislexa.
En febreru de 2011, participó en The BT Red Nose Desert Trek.[13]
En mayu del mesmu añu, Kara interpretó a Eliza Doolittle na obra Pygmalion, xunto a Rupert Everett.[14]
En 2012 apaeció na película The Sweeney, onde dio vida a Megan Barret.
