Oprelvekin je rekombinantni interleukin 11 (IL-11),[2] faktor rasta koji direktno stimuliše proliferaciju hematopoietskih matičnih ćelija i progenitornih ćelija megakariocita i indukuje sazrevanje megakariocita, što dovodi do povećane produkcije trombocita.[3][4] Ovaj lek je u prodaji pod imenom Neumega.
