Bahasa banyumasan itu tidak hanya dituturkan masayarakat karesidenan banyumas saja, tapi juga masyarakat brebes, tegal, kebumen, pemalang, dan kota tegal (Sesuai Dengan KONGRES BAHASA PENGINYONGAN yang dihadiri 9 kab/kota di jawa tengah bagian barat) dimana kongres bahasa penginyongan ini selalu diadakan 4 tahun sekali. tuan rumah kongres pertama bertempat di kota purwokerto pada tahun 2016 dan kongres kedua berlangsung di kabupaten purbalingga Tri Sulis Tiyani 28 Juni 2020. pukul 17.18 (UTC)
