Progesteron 5a-reduktaza (EC 1.3.1.30, steroidna 5-alfa-reduktaza, Delta4-steroidna 5alfa-reduktaza (progesteron)) je enzim sa sistematskim imenom 5alfa-pregnan-3,20-dion:NADP+ 5-oksidoreduktaza.[1][2] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- 5alfa-pregnan-3,20-dion + NADP+ progesteron + NADPH + H+
Testosteron i 20 alfa-hidroksi-4-pregn-3-on mogu da deluju umesto progesterona.
