Roccadaspide (Campanian: A Rocca) is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy.

History

The first settlements in the area are traced back to the Greek and Etruscan civilizations.

Geography

The town is located in the north-west side of Cilento, not too far from Paestum and in the Calore River Valley.

Culture

On Novembre 2022, the Mayor Gabriele Iuliano and the founder of Empathism, Menotti Lerro, announced to have signed a protocol agreement to affix on the wall of "Crescella Square" the Cultural Pyramid of Cilento. In addition, the Mayor offered an official Seat to the Movement to organize its events.[3] In 2024 Menotti Lerro appointed the Mayor Gabriele Iuliano, together with other politicians, as "Custode della Piramide" (In English: "Guardian of the Pyramid").[4][5]

For wish of the mayor Gabriele Iuliano, in a room dedicated in Crescella Square it is possibile to visit the permanent exhibition of the 30 hand made, painted and written with poetry and aphorisms[6] by Menotti Lerro, named "Ritagli" previously exposed in Berlin, Florence, Milan, Salerno[6] and Vallo Della Lucania.[7]
