Shinji Mizushima (水島 新司, Mizushima Shinji, April 10, 1939 – January 10, 2022) was a Japanese manga artist. He was best known for writing many baseball mangas, such as Yakyū-kyō no Uta, Dokaben, and Abu-san. He won the Shogakukan Manga Award twice during his career in 1974 and 1977.
Mizushima died on January 10, 2022 in Tokyo, Japan from pneumonia, aged 82.[1]
