- 19:4319:43, 5 March 2022 diff hist +203 NWA World's Heavyweight Championship Added info on PWI recognition in 2006-2007. Follow up to last post to OldSkool. WCW produced a bill of sale for the title that gave them complete control, including the use of the letters NWA to describe the title. A judge agreed it was valid, and they were able to keep billing it as the world title. WCW claimed this lineage per their website link (https://web.archive.org/web/20000817233603/http://www.wcw.com/2000/superstars/world/). These are the facts and there are sources provided. - 19:2119:21, 5 March 2022 diff hist +1,501 NWA World's Heavyweight Championship Restored PWI info and lineage statement w/ sources. Wrestling News World is unproven, but not listed as unreliable. It's in conjunction w/ other reliable sources including PWI. The PWI recognition is a reliable source about the topic of the article. The only recognized top company titles as "world titles" and were considered a standard of industry recognition. It should remain to show perception of the title. The WCW.com archived link from 2000 is the NW-WCW WH title history they claimed. Tags: Manual revert Reverted

- 19:3519:35, 26 February 2022 diff hist +1,491 NWA World's Heavyweight Championship Restored information about the title lineage to article. That PWI recognition is meaningless is your opinion. PWI might not own the title, but they are a industry publication for wrestling and their recognition of the title is noteworthy and should remain in this article. WCW claimed the lineage on their website (https://web.archive.org/web/20000817233603/http://www.wcw.com/2000/superstars/world/). Again, the lawsuit was about NWA stopping the title match billing, not the belt, and it failed.

- 19:5319:53, 19 February 2022 diff hist +27 NWA World's Heavyweight Championship Undid revision 1072039402 by OldSkool01 (talk) Again, it was not ownership of the physical belt itself that was decided in the lawsuit, it involved being able to have a world title match. Per the Meltzer source, the prior week entry, the NWA already knew about the sale of the belt to WCW, so why would they sue? It was the IP agreement that was unknown. The judge ruled they could continue to bill it as a world title and have the bout. Tag: Reverted

- 21:4121:41, 5 February 2022 diff hist +560 NWA World's Heavyweight Championship Undid revision 1068619200 by OldSkool01 (talk) The source states the letter gave them full ownership of the belt and all "intellectual rights" to use the letters NWA to describe it, meaning they could describe it as the NWA World HW Title. Hornbraker book says it gave them complete control. The judge ruled it valid allowed WCW to continue to bill Rude vs Flair as a world title match, which was what the lawsuit tried to stop. - 17:2417:24, 22 January 2022 diff hist +560 NWA World's Heavyweight Championship Undid revision 1065935659 by OldSkool01 (talk) WCW provided a letter signed by the NWA president giving them the belt and giving WCW the intellectual rights to the title, including the right to use the letters NWA to describe it. The judge ruled it valid. WCW kept the belt and had a match billed for the world title as planned, but did not use the letters NWA to describe the title. Tag: Reverted
