  • 13:0013:00, 9 January 2025 diff hist −117 Artificial gravity Remove outdated claim that's contradicted by the very next sentence. Also remove uncited "this result has not been replicated." First, "this result" refers to a replication of an earlier experiment. So there are two positive results, and they both replicate each other. But second, it's obvious from the lack of any subsequent text that no further results are available as far as we know. And stating it without a source doesn't rule out the possibility that additional results were just overlooked. current Tag: Visual edit
  • 12:5112:51, 9 January 2025 diff hist +386 Gravitational shielding Minority views: Add a passage from Artificial gravity that indicates this research actually has been replicated at least once. Well, "replication" is a strong word for a paper that found an effect orders of magnitude smaller than the original research. But still, it's not true that nobody has performed any independent experiments. current Tag: Visual edit
  • 02:0602:06, 9 January 2025 diff hist −45 Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation School of the Americas: Remove excessive quotation marks and an editorial tone that makes them seem like "scare quotes" used to convey a sense of incredulity or doubt as to the reality of the phrase in quotes. That type of thing is broadly inappropriate in an encyclopedia, but especially when it's not made clear who is being quoted and why their incredulity is relevant, and especially in this case as the words "communist" and "terrorist" refer to real things, not hoaxes or mere rhetoric. current Tag: Visual edit

  • 11:0411:04, 30 November 2024 diff hist +37 Gacha game Model: Many people consider this practice manipulative, but in this context it seems to be inferring an evil motive for a gameplay feature that is, on the surface, benign or at least innocuous. It's not neutral for wikipedia, in its own voice, to read the developers' minds and attribute evil intent underlying such an action. Note that I'm not denying that these companies use psychological manipulation to harm vulnerable players. But calling it "predatory gifting" without proof... Tag: Visual edit

  • 08:4508:45, 17 November 2024 diff hist +20 Right-wing politics Anti-communism: Rephrase this to clarify that it's talking about what communists originally meant by "right-wing." It previously said "the original use of the term," which is confusing since the term "right-wing" long predates communism. It was used to refer to France's pro-aristocratic faction in the aftermath of the French Revolution. They were not opposed to communism (since it did not exist yet) but to egalitarianism and the abolition of customs. Tag: Visual edit
  • 08:3108:31, 17 November 2024 diff hist −91 Biology and political orientation Remove claim about the anterior cingulate cortex from the lead. It was only found in one study, and there is now a much larger, preregistered study on this (see Brain studies below) that replicated other findings but not this one. I considered trying to add this nuance and use more cautious language ("one study found x, but another did not" rather than just "x"), but that's not really what the lead is for. Basically if the lead mentions specific examples, it should focus on solid ones. Tag: Visual edit
  • 07:4607:46, 17 November 2024 diff hist +272 Political spectrum Other proposed dimensions: Clarification needed. I think two things are being conflated here. Pacifism/dove relates to one's willingness to participate in war or approval of one's nation waging war, not necessarily how one feels about imposing political values. Plenty of politicians called hawkish oppose the use of force to impose political values. And one may use violence to achieve one's political ends without advocating for war or aggressive foreign policy. Like the Black Panthers. current Tag: Visual edit
  • 07:3607:36, 17 November 2024 diff hist +168 Political spectrum Other proposed dimensions: Add tags. Most of these bullets lack references, and one of them contains a strange claim that the urban vs. rural axis is no longer prominent in the United States, which pretty much any adult living in the US can tell you is not true. • 07:0107:01, 17 November 2024 diff hist +9 Political spectrum Leonard W. Ferguson: Fix a link that was leading from the text "religionism" (in the sense of belief in God or adherence to religion) to the article on Religious discrimination. That redirect is for an unrelated neologism, which constructs "religionism" by analogy to "racism" rather than by analogy to "nationalism", so it's misleading here. Tag: Visual edit

Someone could add it back in a different section I guess, but 3 large paragraphs with no citations shouldn't be added in the first place. Tag: Visual edit

One calls something "un-Christian." Another doubts that walls can be made of plaster, but plaster is the main component of some types of wall. What is confusing is that later it says the stone walls were plastered, so add a clarification needed tag. Replace inline tags with an unreferenced section tag. Tag: Visual edit
