Stuart Gordon

Stuart Gordon (August 11, 1947 – March 24, 2020) was an American filmmaker, theater director and playwright. He first became known for his controversial work in experimental theater. He later became known for his horror movies. In 1969, he founded the Organic Theater Company with his wife Carolyn Purdy. His movies include Re-Animator (1985), From Beyond (1986), Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989), Robot Jox (1990), Fortress (1992), The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit (1998) and Dagon (2001).
Gordon was born in Chicago, Illinois. He had three daughters. Gordon died on March 24, 2020 in Van Nuys, California, at the age of 72.[1] The cause of death was multiple organ failure caused by kidney disease.[2]
