Talk page
[edit]Hello, This is the first Wikipedia page I've ever made from scratch so it may be a bit rough around the edges. Any contributions to it would be greatly appreciated! --Geograph2002 (talk) 17:32, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
Polls
[edit]I think we should take off the Tecnimerk, and Voto 2021 HN polls. I can't find direct sources for Tecnimerk and its mostly been promoted on Libre accounts. As for the Voto 2021 HN poll, it seems like a website that was just made to publish the poll idk CalciferJiji (talk) 17:24, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
Blank votes are now valid?
[edit]I noticed the CNE website is listing blank votes as valid and including them in the percentage calculations (possibly as an equivalent to none of the above). Is this actually a new thing (they were not classed as valid votes in 2013 or 2017), or is it an error on the CNE website to do this? Cheers, Number 57 09:58, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Jakob990: I noticed you updated the results table to add blank votes as a valid row. Has Honduran electoral law changed to make blank votes valid? Cheers, Number 57 21:13, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Number 57:: An electoral reform was enacted in 2019, however, I cannot find information about it that speaks about the specific changes. Jakob990 (talk) 21:32, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
Parliamentary Leaders
[edit]What is this supposed to represent? The party leader or party figurehead? As far as I know the National Party's leader is David Chavez, the party's candidate for the capital's mayorship. That makes me question the rest of the list. 190.6.200.54 (talk) 03:27, 3 December 2021 (UTC)
National Congress Results
[edit]The results of the national congress shouldn't be up yet. The results are subject to change as more votes come in and the CNE said that they're not going to make an announcement regarding that until 80% of the votes come in CalciferJiji (talk) 23:40, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
- Do you know of a source to follow this process?--Aréat (talk) 03:49, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
In terms of the 80% thing, Here's a source: https://www.latribuna.hn/2021/12/03/cne-integracion-de-diputados-hasta-que-se-tenga-el-80/ For the results of the deputies, its department by department CalciferJiji (talk) 04:44, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
Party votes
[edit]By putting together the results for each department I managed to the total votes received by each party. The problem is that due to the electoral system each elector has multiple choice and the total number of votes is way greater than the turnout, so I'm not sure it should be added to the election result table. Looking at past elections the 2017 table ignores the votes while the 2013 table includes them, so they're not really helpful. I'll add them here for now waiting for feedbacks.--Fm3dici97 (talk) 17:59, 1 January 2022 (UTC)
- It's not a problem that the number of votes exceeds the number of voters – this is a feature of several countries' electoral systems (e.g. Liechtenstein or Luxembourg. Do you have the number of invalid and valid ballots cast (in the same way that there is a valid total for the two examples given, which is the number of voters casting a valid ballot, rather than votes for each party)? - No, that's another issue unfortunately. They have published the numbers of blank (392,186) and invalid votes (129,242) but I couldn't find anything about the ballots and the turnout.--Fm3dici97 (talk) 09:19, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
- I added this version of the table to the page.--Fm3dici97 (talk) 11:45, 3 January 2022 (UTC)
