Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be deleted because, as it even says in the opening paragraph (!),the band was 'notable for its self-proclaimed "freak-pop" sound which exhibited hook-heavy tunes and complex vocal harmonies'. And they certainly were. They invented that sound! They invented a genre! If that's not 'notable', then tell me what is.
- Claims to notability must be backed up by reliable, independent sources. There are currently none in the article. ... discospinster talk 04:52, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
- I've declined this speedy because a claim of significance or importance is asserted. Reliable sources are not needed to avoid a CSD A7. That said, the claim of significance is weak if you'd like to take it to AfD.--v/r - TP 20:56, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted because, again, 20 Minute Loop basically creating the freak-pop genre out of whole cloth. It's true that the article is new and low on citations, but I think it would be more proper to put a "help expand this article" notice than a speedy deletion warning so early in its existence. No longer a stub?
[edit]-- would it be fair to say that this is no longer a stub? i'm removing the categorization. 173.164.106.90 (talk) 04:51, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
