Qualified audit opinion and my possible COI
[edit]I put the following 2 sentences at the end of the 1st paragraph, because a qualified auditors' report is a very big deal:
- The company's auditor, Deloitte, issued a rare qualified opinion in 2023 on the company's financial reports, indicating a serious question on the accuracy of the reports. Deloitte cited the ongoing review by regulators of Adani's financial and general business practices.[1]
It may take me most of the weekend to write a paragraph or two in the controversies section, but be sure: this is not going away.
I'll indicate a possible COI on my part. I am a reporter, and was editor-in-chief for 3 years, of the Signpost. I wrote a "Disinformation report" in February The "largest con in corporate history"? Note that The Signpost's reporters are almost always long-time Wikipedia editors and that we *do not* require that reporters avoid editing Wikipedia article that they report on. To require that would limit our ability to report on too many stories that are best reported on by experienced Wikipedians. I'll ping @Bri:, also a reporter and former E-i-C, if anybody has questions on this. Smallbones(smalltalk) 13:47, 23 June 2023 (UTC) Smallbones(smalltalk) 13:47, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
