Merger
[edit]- for - both pages are about the same thing (131.130.121.106 18:51, 29 June 2006 (UTC))
- against. simply because two companies merged does not mean that their respective articles have to be merged as well into a third. also both articles are different, they are not about the same thing. Gryffindor 13:00, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- for - I thin an article named BAWAG PSK and an article named PSK would be quite nice, the BAWAG PSK article with BAWAG stuff since it have been founded until now and PSK stuff since BAWAG have it acquired and the article about PSK with stuff since it have been founded until BAWAG had it purchased or merged. .tom 16:13, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- for. same subject mentioned on both articles, should first expand 1 and have 1 good article than 2 measly written ones. Lincher 20:25, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- for. BAWAG P.S.K is the bank carrying on the legacy of two formerly distinct organisations. Therefore it makes sense to include any information about the former companies under the name of the new entity.--Felix Kronabetter 12:00, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- for. And it should be done soon! Since now the BAWAG is sold to Cerberus ... - Josef Spindelböck 20:35, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- for. Since there is now one business, it makes sense to have a single page which describes the history of both parts of the company. (Having separate pages for historical entities does not make sense - some large companies have a history which includes hundreds of acquisitions and mergers - to have separate pages for each historical company would result in fragmentation which would make it impossible for readers to comprehend.) I guess we will have to wait and see whether Cerberus will make any further changes to BAWAG PSK structure e.g. to gain synergies with GMAC. PF 18:24 25 February 2007 (UTC) P.S. Let's do it soon.
- Against. The separate BAWAG and P.S.K. articles contain company histories and seem to be satisfactory articles for further expansion. BAWAG P.S.K. should be a separate article that refers to these two articles using {{main}} and {{subst}} templates for historical information, and also should be expanded with new content from the post merger era. -- Emana 07:19, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Against. I agree with User Emana - the PSK article is about the history of the Postsparkasse - the BAWAG PSK about the then newly formed company. They are different topics. Ferdinand h2 (talk) 05:59, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
