[edit]Could the persons editing out and in the volume of links on this article come here and explain their positions with WP:AGF and civility so that we can get something straight about why the material is floating in and out of the article? Please SatuSuro 11:13, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Please get beyond edit summaries and place comments here - so that there is clear indication of what is going on? SatuSuro 07:20, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a collection of external links. WP:NOTLINK - Mere collections of external links or Internet directories. There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to an article; however, excessive lists can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia. On articles about topics with many fansites, for example, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate. See Wikipedia:External links for some guidelines. Add to that wikipedia is also not a directory of everything that exists. List items are also equally subject to Wikipedia's content policies. A previous opinion of this list in another form can be found here. Duffbeerforme (talk) 10:37, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
NOTICE: Entries by EntertainOz in the reference list providing "another site" are done for commercial purposes and may not even be authorised by the referenced band. This was so with their 'piggy-back" link for the Rantan Bush Band (that has now been deleted for a second time and will incur a complaint if it appears again: after it was deleted, the agency was asked to cease and desist).
It may be wise to remove all links to EntertainOz as these do not provide information, but are, in my humble opinion, simply a means of the agency gaining commercial work through the Wikipedia entry. Karl Craig (talk) 12:22, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
