Redirect
[edit]I have rd to 24 (TV series). Quite apart from the absurdity of a set prop elevated to the status of a character, I see that cubby 24 "Tony Almeida" gets a mere 42 hits (not counting "very similar" pages). More troubling is that many of these appear to be links to a person attempting to sell "I love Cubby" teeshirts.
The subject -- such as it is -- is indeed covered in the main article.
A clever bit of viral marketing but let's not wait for the external link to the store. John Reid 04:44, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
Could an admin protect this page as the redirect? I would do it myself but as I've been involved editing the article 24 (TV series) I'll leave it for another admin as per WP:PPOL. -- Chuq 01:09, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- Ok, after removing myself from the article editing process I have seen several other people revert the same changes. I now think it is appropriate to protect the article. -- Chuq 07:06, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
square-ish shelving
[edit]"Cubby" is also used as a term for a style of furniture that is like a cabinet or a chest of drawers or a bookshelf, but the storage spaces are open at the front and relatively cube shaped. These are often found in the classrooms and bedrooms of young children (at least they are in the part of the USA where I live). Below are some examples. I don't think there's a specific page for this sort of cubby, so I don't know how it would be added to the disambiguation page.
I apologize if this is not the correct way to bring up this sort of change. I love Wikipedia, but I don't do a lot of editing.
