STOP CHANGING DEAR!!!!

[edit]

Whoever is changing this page please stop. The album is called DEAR, not Dear. Research before you edit so you're editing correctly. Fairytaillover (talk) 00:14, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I know it's called DEAR but he or she keeps changing it to Dear. I know it's wrong. Sai-chan (talk) 00:20, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Per MOS:TMRULES, "follow standard English text formatting and capitalization practices, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official", as long as this is a style already in widespread use". You can request a page move if you like (see WP:RM). --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 00:29, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well they obviously don't know what they're doing. They shouldn't be editing Hey! Say! JUMP pages if they don't know something as simple as an album title. Fairytaillover (talk) 00:29, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The title of the album is Dear. How they capitalize it or not is purely for stylization. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 04:51, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well thank you Sai-chan for all of your hard work on Hey! Say! JUMP (my favorite) :) , and I'm sorry people keep undoing your hardwork. Fairytaillover (talk) 22:25, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Fairytaillover. I've been a fan of Hey! Say! JUMP for years and wanted to do right by them by making correct edits. Again thank you Fairytaillover. Sai-chan (talk) 22:59, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You have done right by them. Unfortunately, others haven't and it really makes me mad. Fairytaillover (talk) 23:02, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have not deleted or removed any information. Just meeting style guidelines to preserve consistency and keep things presentable for the general reader. Remember, this site isn't for fans. The average reader just wants the basic information that can be properly verified for notability. Note that I am following the guidelines of Wikipedia, which has been determined by consensus. Please read Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Japan-related_articles#Titles_of_media for a better understanding. You are allowed to ask for further discussion on these topics to gather new consensus, and I encourage you to do so if you don't like the rules of Wikipedia. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 23:36, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Man! Hey! Say! JUMP never gets the justice it deserves on these american sites all because of their stupid rules that no one follows until it's convenient. Well hopefully that will change when they perform at the opening ceremony at the 2020 olympics. Fairytaillover (talk) 00:01, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear (Hey! Say! JUMP album)DEAR (Hey! Say! JUMP album) – The name of the album is DEAR not Dear. The title is in all caps. Here are some references: [1], [2], [3], [4] – Sai-chan (talk) 15:39, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink).  ONR  (talk)  21:24, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose move. The album's name is (apparently) stylized as DEAR, but this clearly falls under MOS:TM.  ONR  (talk)  21:24, 19 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
