I am a little uncomfortable with the power transactions section. It seems to meander between the control of electrical networks and the retailing of electricity. Lumberjack Steve 11:44, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Oversight and Alternative Energies
[edit]Oversight and Alternative Energies section added J. Chow 11:58 9 December 2016
I thought that this article was a bit lacking and so I decided to add sections in regard to oversight and alternative energies. The existing topics like executive compensation was kind of hard to confirm with other references because transparency is apparently not a very prominent part of many electric utility companies which is understandable due to how necessary these companies are to countries infrastructure. I thought that information on oversight would provide more insight into why different areas have differing structures. I also thought that it is important to note green energy as green energy, being relatively new and all and how their structures are different due to public perception. Overall, there is much more to electric utilities but a lot of it is still controversial and are hard to confirm. J. Chow 11:58 9 December 2016
