There is no 'right' or 'wrong' spelling for this one. The Wikipedia manual dictates that the name of an article should only be changed if the spelling is incorrect. If there are just multiple variations, it should be added in the text, which I've done now. M021 08:17, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the MoS is quite clear that the 'most common' spelling should be used, and that the 'multiple variations' part only comes into play if two or more variations are relatively equally common, which is certainly NOT the case here, with erythropoietin almost 17 times more common [1] vs [2]. Also, the Merriam Webster dictionary only recognized the spelling with the i[3]. Freshstart 18:45, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with freshstart. The spelling without the i is incorrect from both the root and common usage. For further discussion en:Talk:Erythropoietin has covered most of the bases on this point. As such this page would most correctly be at Erythropoietin as the 'full' version is. Spaully 00:38, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
