== I've never heard of a translation of German Vor- and Hinterpommern!!!! In English these parts are named Western and Eastern Pomerania!!!
Is Hinterpommern a German name for the whole of Farther Pomerania or just Western Pomerania ? --Lysytalk 20:15, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- It´s the name for the area shown on the map in yellow.
- Only parts of Hither Pomerania were called Swedish Pomerania, not parts of Farther Pom. And I couldn´t find any source for ceding anything to Sweden in 1783.(217.184.150.90 (talk) 08:49, 3 March 2008 (UTC))
The current version mixes up the history of Farther Pomerania and modern Pomorze as it is used in Poland today. Farther Pomerania wasn´t influenced by the Polish Partition in 1772, that´s only Pomerelia. I removed that and added some informations.(217.184.150.103 (talk) 10:05, 5 March 2008 (UTC))
Language
[edit]Kashubian was only spoken in rural eastern Farther Pomerania, not in the whole rural areas.(217.184.130.168 (talk) 14:21, 22 May 2008 (UTC))
