[edit]We don't have that letter in English. We also don't have the other two, whatever they are. This is the English-language Wikipedia. Do we come over and respell everything in the Icelandic Wikipedia? No. So don't come and do it to us. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.93.68 (talk) 19:19, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
- IPA -- It's possible to pronounce these letters. And we do have ö and ả. --Guanlong wucaii 14:50, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Porsmork/Thorsmork
[edit]The references here to "Porsmork" (using the letter thorn) were changed to "Thorsmork" yesterday, but this was undone. I've reverted the undo; we should be using transliterations for non-English letters, per WP:UE. It's arguable whether diacritics should be transcribed, as their sound is generally similar to the vowels they accent; but ligatures or digraphs like thorn are plain misleading. Also, the article page they link to is at Thorsmork, so there's no argument, really. Moonraker12 (talk) 18:17, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
