Criticisms of The Food Race Formulation

[edit]

"Critics also point out that the most significant population growth is occurring in the Third World, where food is most scarce." This may be more accurately stated: "Critics also point out that the most significant population growth is occurring in the Third World, where regional food production is lowest." This is more relevant to the point because it addresses the nature of 'The Food Race' as being a biological process based on food availability not necessarily on local food production.
I think that it is important to make a distinction between criticisms of the concept that ecological dynamics can/can not be applied to human beings, and criticisms based on the criteria of those dynamics as applied to humans. Thank you, L Hamm
