Sinking of the La Combattante by U-5330

Weapons and Warfare.com has an account of the sinking that says that Sparbrodt and Jahnke surfaced after the torpedo hit and witnessed the sinking of the destroyer.

I don't know the original citations for either of these works nor do I know of the citation for the explanation of the sinking posted in the article from uboat.net.

If going off of accounts from Sparbrodt and Jahnke and they witnessed the sinking then I think it is credible that they did sink La Combattante. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smart451 (talk • contribs) 10:20, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
