The Stone Head (illustrated) - city symbol
[edit]I recall it was shown in a cartoon strip version (1970s) of Ripley's Believe it or not! - where is the head kept? According to Ripley, IIRC the emblem of Friedrichroda was this face because "after the Thirty Years War so few people were left that when a traveler learned he was in a town HIS MOUTH DROPPED OPEN IN SURPRISE" (Ripley's emphasis). If any citeable reference to the head and the history in literature can be found, it would be welcome to be added.Cloptonson (talk) 12:47, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
