Hugo/Hauke; Wends and Teutonic Order
[edit]The name Hugo is not and never has been particularly popular in northern Germany. This is just plain wrong. Yes I do not have statistics. It is fairly uncommon but has become fashionable.
The Wendish "crusades" have nothing to do with Poland directly. The Wends were pagan western Slavs not Poles. The Poles were Christians and, if anything supported the christian crusades against the pagan Wends.
The Poles also did not suffer from invasion by the Teutonic Order. Instead, it was a polish duke who called the Teutonic Order for military assistance against the pagan Baltic-Prussians. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.5.181.42 (talk) 10:11, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
Pronounciation
[edit]This pronunciation is not the common one in Germany. This is more how it is pronounced here: ˈha͡ʊ.kə — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.91.211.187 (talk) 10:51, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
