WR video at full speed
[edit]WR video is in slomo, please, someone provide the world with a proper version with audio. Not even Andreas Thorkildsen has seen one, so obviously a hard-to-find vid (http://web.mac.com/a_thorkildsen/iWeb/www.andreasthorkildsen.com/Blog/D07A8BE2-D048-4B81-805D-705440E83B37.html#comment_layer). --SearchedTheWWWallready+P2P
Jan Železný is/was a captain in the Czech Army.
[edit]It's something I remember being mentioned during commentary when he was competing against Steve Backley many years ago but I'm not sure how it would fit into this article. I've found a source including a good photo of him in uniform on the Czech Ministry of Defence website but unfortunately I don't speak Czech and there doesn't appear to be a corresponding article on the English language version.

There seems to be little information about him other than his competition record, so I hope that someone who knows the subject better and/or understands Czech will be able to incorporate this into the article.
I added him to the category "Czech Military Personnel" as I believe it to be appropriate in this case. Again I don't know whether he was an active soldier or if it was more a case that military service allowed him to train full-time as an athlete while retaining his amateur status; this is something that I hope an expert can shed more light on.
