Clarify this statement

    "Due to these efforts, he was given a chair in Slovene at the Ljubljana Lyceum in 1817."

This sentence baffles me. What did you have in mind with "given a chair in Slovene", that he was given a position in the Slovene language department in Ljubljana? SimonKTemplar (talk) 16:40, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
