matches
Hey I put down cena vs. jbl and jericho vs. michaels a few days ago and someone changed it now when you got a source by wwe.com it's all right to put them down. If you watched Raw last week you would know that these matches would happen just by the way they were talking. Im sorry if im offending anyone but i think if you watch raw from now on you could see what will happen at a ppv. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.162.8.34 (talk) 10:35, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- But they had not yet been announced. We wait until they are made official, and not just speculation. –LAX 10:37, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly. Despite it being overwhelmingly likely that those matches would have happened, it is still speculation until officially announced. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 15:16, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
What about Undertaker Vs Edge which was announced following the tuesday smackdown tapings after Edge won the battle royal. Should that be added?
If you can find a source, I'll gladly put it in.(The Undertaker will win!)SimonKSK (talk) 20:50, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Yes, hes a source: http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/2008/articles/1210155222.php

Ok, what about this site: http://www.wrestlezone.com/article.php?articleid=212129385 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.80.86 (talk) 21:00, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Nope. –LAX 21:01, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
So do we have to wait until it is announced on wwe.com? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.80.86 (talk) 21:13, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- Or until SmackDown! airs in Australia or the UK. –LAX 22:03, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- If a source is provided. Because, as said MANY MANY MAAAAANYYYYYYY times before, WP:V is one of the major wikipedia policys. and you all have to find something to (as the name says) verifies your provided information. but do we really need this discussion again? I'm so sick of it... Diivoo (talk) 20:17, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- Read my last comment in this thread. –LAX 20:18, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- ok, so? now read mine again. its the answer to yours. with a little addition. you cant compare a ppv, which airs everywhere at the same time (because its live, you know?) with a taped weekly show, which airs at different times all over this planet. why do we wait until friday? lets just add it tuesday, when its taped. because all the people in attendance have allready seen it! Enough with the "Not a reliable source" talk already. 76.110.82.251 (talk) 22:53, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
SmackDown! and song capitalization
SmackDown! has the exclamation mark. "It" should be capitalized.
RandySavageFTW (talk) 01:54, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- SmackDown does not have an exclamation mark anymore, for further discussion on this matter, see WT:PW.--SRX 15:55, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
THe HBK vs Y2j
The match is for the Ic title someone fix it u can check onn wwe.com for confirmation —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gta5 (talk • contribs) 02:52, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- According to this its not for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.--~SRX~ 03:09, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- The article mentions Jericho as the champion, but there are no mentions of the match being for the title. –LAX 12:20, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Can someone please confirm that this match is not for the IC title because I need this info for an article im doing 86.129.188.121 (talk) 18:33, 14 May 2008 (UTC) Theres nothing to confirm they have never said it was for the title.LifeStroke420 (talk) 18:45, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- If, as linked above, the WWE article does not specifically state that the title is on the line, it most likely isn't. It would've been corrected by now had it been an oversight. Hazardous Matt 19:06, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
ECW "feud"
Should the "feud" between Kane & CM Punk and Miz & Morrison be added? User:Vjmlhds is the only one who seems to believe it should, and I, personally, believe it should not. Is there really a feud going on? The two teams starred at each other last week; big fucking deal. That is not enough info to say a feud between the two is present. –LAX 19:23, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- Well I don't see a feud going on either, I just reworded it, but then again, the feud seems to be going no where, unless it continues to build up later this week then yeah, but for now, no.--~SRX~ 19:26, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Apologies for causing a ruckus, I didn't think it would get to this point. But my point was that we usually list the "main events" from all 3 brands in the show description since all PPVs became tri-branded.
Now whether or not you think this is the greatest feud in the world is another story, but my point is that it is the biggest thing on ECW right now, and it will be their main (and probably only) contribution to the PPV, so it needs to be touched on at least a little bit, just as we discuss what goes on on Raw or Smackdown.
Vjmlhds May 11, 2008 19:59 (UTC)
- I agree with Vjmlhds on this one. It is the primary and only feud on ECW as of now. It involves three title holders and the Money in the Bank winner. I fail to see how it's not notable. It's not been hyped much yet, but I'm sure that will change come Tuesday. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 20:05, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
- You make a point, but technically its not a "feud at the moment, unless something expands and proceeds with the announcement of a title match, like a promo or a match on ECW, then we can add it, but right now its technically not a feud, so there is no use for it. Now when it comes to expanding the article, then we will have no choice but to add it, but at the moment its not relevant nor notable.--~SRX~ 20:06, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Let's assume that this Tuesday on ECW, that this main event will be the focal point of the show, and will feature a match/promo/beat down.
Can we then include this match in the description, I just think it's fair since the other brands are talked about.
Vjmlhds May 11, 2008 20:22 (UTC)
- If something significant (promo, match, "beat down," etc.) happens, then yes, the feud should be added. But again, nothing significant in the "feud" has happened yet. –LAX 20:30, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Mark Henry Vs. Big Show
I heard a rumour that they might add Mark henry Vs, The big show to the Judgement day card, should we add this? 86.158.45.207 (talk) 21:20, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- No. It's a rumour. When it's announced on WWE.com or when Smackdown airs, then it can be added. Hazardous Matt 21:22, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- Look at the Power 25, Big Show vs. Mark Henry?. --KingOfDX (talk) 04:45, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
There is no Big Show vs. Mark Henry match. It was probably a typo, or the match will be contested as a dark match, but should be removed as it is not official.
Mark Henry vs. The Big Show is in fact official for the PPV. The WWE.Com website recap of Smackdown makes it official. Why it kept getting removed from the article remains a mystery. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MaskedSuperAgent (talk • contribs) 21:53, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- Because there is no source that supports the claim, which has resulted in Semi-protection of the page. ~SRX~ 21:59, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Noted. But the match is going to happen regardless if it appears on the article or not. Heck I wish it wasn't going to, won't be a mat classic that's for darn sure. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MaskedSuperAgent (talk • contribs) 22:07, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
- There is no source for it, plus this is not the place to discuss speculation.~SRX~ 22:14, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
Relax my friend. Life is far too short to become so angry over anything least of all Wikipedia. And if you want a source their official website's recap of Smackdown clearly states the match has been made official. Lighten up eh? —Preceding unsigned comment added by MaskedSuperAgent (talk • contribs) 22:28, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
This is a source? http://www.wrestleview.com/news2008/1211047528.shtml --Asmactic (talk) 00:03, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
It is not listed as a match on the official website for Judgment Day. However wwe.com does not list Dark Matches so it could be a Dark Match. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.167.5.12 (talk) 00:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Two reputable websites have reported the WWE.Com announcement through their own Smackdown recap about the match being confirmed. Meltzer's Observer and Scherer's PWInsider.com. I'll laugh when the match happens on the show and people like SRX feel silly for being so damn full of hatred over something so trivial. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MaskedSuperAgent (talk • contribs) 01:24, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- I dont think he will feel silly, because no one cares if the match is added or not. Maybe it will happen tomorrow, well we can still add it then. But with out a reliable source (wrestleview clearly is not reliable), we cant add it. Diivoo (talk) 10:19, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
It was announced via WWE Mobile, which is WWE controlled and only releases content written by the company, therefore that is an official source. Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho at Armageddon was put up on here after it was announced on WWE Mobile as well, so somebody should put this match back up. SubzeroWrestling (talk) 11:28, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Bah. Don't waste your breath Subzero. These odd specimens are determined to leave the page inaccurate for the sake of their imaginary "power" they wield on this website. Like I said they'll all feel foolish come tonight. I won't lose any sleep though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MaskedSuperAgent (talk • contribs) 11:36, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
I know that www.wrestlezone.com isnt a reaable scource but it says that Big Show vs Mark Henry is in the final card. A bit desprate having that match in. Should do Colin Delaney vs Armando Estrada in Extreme Rules —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.99.40.107 (talk) 19:55, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- MVP vs. Jeff Hardy is also likely to happen. still, we dont add it, because there is no reliable source. and to the guy above my post - this is not a forum... and please sign your post.Diivoo (talk) 22:13, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Correct, it's Jeff vs MVP96.227.50.211 (talk) 02:01, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
Again there is no Big Show vs. Mark Henry Match, neither is there an MVP vs. Jeff Hardy match. These matches could be dark matches at Judgment Day but since they are not official matches REMOVE them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.164.70.192 (talk) 22:27, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Bottom Line, currently this match is not an advertised match by WWE, and because they are not advertising it, we have no source to back it up, and since we cant back it up, we cant add it, because there is no source to verify it. Now if WWE decides to add it later tonight, thats something else, as WWE usually adds unannounced matches, but right now, we cannot add the match.~SRX~ 22:36, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Undertaker
Undertaker won the match, it's not a no contest. He won by countout but does not get the title because titles do not change via countout or disqualification. 96.227.50.211 (talk) 01:59, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- Its says, countout, not no contest.--~SRX~ 02:05, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- It was also edited, since before it said no contest, you can check the history if you want ;)96.227.50.211 (talk) 02:06, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
