Ravenpaw
Hello fellow Warriors fan i have one question... Will some one please put a Ravenpaw bio on the 1st Arch cats section. I would do it but unfortunly I don't know how. If some one will tell me how I'll be glad to do it... if not will some one else do it? Thank you GreenxCat (talk) 07:34, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
- You just click the "edit this page" tab up at the top and add it in. Don't worry about formatting or anything, ping me a little message on my talk page and I can do it, but you might want to try to find a few good references for your information and place them right beside the text (again, don't worry about formatting it yourself). If you want to find out about the formatting stuff, just check in here. Cheers, and happy editing! --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 13:32, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
YAY!! I just added a lot of stuff to the 3rd Arc cats: Jaypaw, Lionpaw, and Hollypaw! Does anyone mind looking it over?

You're all right, Bramblestorm; just a few grammatical errors here and there. I'll take care of that. :) Swiftink (talk) 23:47, 13 December 2008 (UTC)Swiftink
Clan Names
This is just a suggestion! When you are writing the names of clans (ShadowClan, RiverClan, WindClan, ThunderClan, BloodClan, SkyClan, StarClan, LionClan, LeopardClan and TigerClan) just remember to capitalize the "C" on the "Clan" as above! Not very important, but it was just a random thought that happened to go through my head as I was reading the article! Ryanjames1995 (talk) 00:13, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Third Arc Characters
I don't know if this is disputable but I think that characters like Willowpaw, Heatherpaw, Berrypaw, Hazelpaw, Mousepaw, Honeypaw, Poppypaw, Cinderpaw, Kestrelpaw, Millie, and TOTRW (Tribe of the Rushing Water) cats should be mentioned! Certainly Hollypaw, Jaypaw and Lionpaw are not enough to pass for the characters in the Power of Three characters list! There are many more newly introduced characters mentioned than that! Thanx!
Ryanjames1995 (talk) 00:19, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
I totally agree. A few day ago, I added Cinderpaw, Poppypaw, Honeypaw, and Berrynose, but they were soon delted (except Cinderpaw). I would like to know who deleted them.Checkyesjuliet (talk) 04:18, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- All the cats you mentioned will be added eventually, though probably in the "minor characters" sections. I'm working on the main PoT characters right now, but eventually I'll get to them unless someone else wants to do the writing...:) Wolfraptor (talk) 18:45, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Family Trees
Vicky Holmes said that the family trees on warriorcats.com are false, so we should probably take off all of the relations that don't belong there. Thornclaw (talk) 22:44, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- how could they be false? it is the official website, and it has the info we know as of now. if she alluded to later plot developments i don't know but.. i believe the info should be up there anyway should it not? 156.34.181.176 (talk) 03:00, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- They are false because Vicky said they are false. Some random person who works on the official site probably made them up, thinkiong they were true, but there really is no proof that they are. Vicky's word, and Vicky's word only is law ;) ClawClaw (talk) 15:16, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
why don't they take them off? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.24.255.57 (talk) 21:53, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- They're probably working on revising the whole thing rather than remaking it from scratch. [>{>Drakonis<}<] (talk) 16:06, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
There are several errors for the family trees, but they are mostly gender swaps, like all of Fernclouds kits being listed as male. ~Beeflight —Preceding unsigned comment added by Beeflight (talk • contribs) 23:59, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Ashfur Missing?
I notice Ashfur is mentioned in a few of the other characters' bios but he has no bio himself. I'm thinking Ashfur will become somewhat important in the next few books (as referenced in Sunset, The Sight, and Outcast), so shouldn't he have his own description? 192.91.173.36 (talk) 12:33, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
why hasnt anyone made him a bio?Checkyesjuliet (talk) 04:19, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
I'll write one up for him today. Wolfraptor (talk) 11:46, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Okay, finished a bio on Ashfur. I stuck him in the New Prophecy section because he's most prominent there. Still really interested to find what happens with him, myself. Not sure of his relationships, though. Could someone clarify? Mentors, apprentices, siblings, etc. Wolfraptor (talk) 19:20, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Writing Style
I'm sorry, I realize a lot of editors on this page are probably fairly young, but this article reads like a collection of kids' essays. Many bios do not take an encyclopedic POV, do not sound professional, and are also very short. I don't have any of the books with me at the moment but I will attempt to work on some characters off the top of my head. 192.91.173.36 (talk) 12:42, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Updated bios for Breezepaw, Heatherpaw, Nightcloud. Moving on. Let me know if you have problems. 192.91.173.36 (talk) 14:01, 8 July 2008 (UTC) I was the one who created those bios. I didn't have enough time to finish them. So, thanksCheckyesjuliet (talk) 04:21, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Updated bios for Cinderpelt, Whitestorm, Spottedleaf, Yellowfang. 192.91.173.42 (talk) 15:41, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Updated bios for Tigerclaw, Bluestar, Sandstorm, Graystripe, Fireheart, Lionheart, Darkstripe, Longtail. Fixed names and formatting, but the descriptions are still pretty bad. These seem to be chronicling the events of the books, and not describing the characters themselves. I don't feel like rewriting them at the moment, though. 192.91.173.36 (talk) 18:35, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Rewrote bio for Firestar. All posts in this subject have been me up until now, I just created an account so I'll have an actual name now. If there are no serious objections I will continue to rewrite bios for major characters; the present ones are more like a summary of events than descriptions. Wolfraptor (talk) 18:01, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Rewrote bio for Sandstorm, Graystripe, Bluestar. Again, any objection? I'm done for today. Wolfraptor (talk) 19:17, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
I have recently been working a bit on this page as well. I must say that i dont like how this part keeps getting deleted. I take my time to put it there, so please dont get rid of it. If you remove it, i will simply take the time to put it back. I am 14, i have plenty of time on my hands. :)

Someone keeps messing with it, that's for sure. I'm still undecided as to whether we need it here or not, but if you're just going to keep putting it back up, we might as well accept it. Just make sure it's formatted right (and the names are spelled right, I don't want to see any more Stoppedleafs or Whitestroms). Also many cats don't have a known mate or haven't died yet, so there probably doesn't need to be a bullet for those stats on those characters. Wolfraptor (talk) 11:50, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- For the record, I've got no issue with the information itself. However, it should be incorporated into the text, not put down in a list. WP:TRIVIA covers the reasoning for this sort of thing fairly well. Cheers. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 12:13, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Chuckyesjuliet, add your lists back in, and I'll simply convert them to text. Where are you getting these relationships, by the way? (I haven't read cats of the clans yet) Wolfraptor (talk) 15:48, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- Im not sure i know what you mean. By the way, I noticed that you put that it is implied that Snowfur is whitestorm's mother. In Secrets of the Clans, there is a story from Snowfur's point of view. She says that her Mother, Moonflower, didnt approve of Snowfurs sister, Bluestar (Bluefur at the time), taking her kits to RiverClan. Snowfur also says that she wants to take Mosskit to StarClan because she never got to see her son, Whitepaw, become Whitestorm.Checkyesjuliet (talk) 16:07, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- ^Fixed the Whitestorm issue. Thanks for the info. What don't you understand? Wolfraptor (talk) 17:22, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- I just wasn't sure what you meant by "Where are you getting these relationships, by the way?" But if you mean where am I getting my info, than thats easy. I read every book, including the special edition, Secret of the Clans, Cats of The Clans, and all the manga. All the info you need is in the booksCheckyesjuliet (talk) 18:14, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Updated bios for a number of characters to include the relationships mentioned in Chuckyesjuliet's lists. Added clarification for series iterations as well, because a lot of characters have prominient roles in more than one series. Wolfraptor (talk) 18:29, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Who's adding lists? I noticed someone put lists where Wolfraptor already converted my lists to text. Checkyesjuliet (talk) 17:46, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- The lists are back...grrr. Clearly someone just really wants lists. 192.91.171.42 (talk) 12:10, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
- I've eliminated all lists and added their contents into the bios. It's a pretty patchy job at the moment since most of them I haven't rewritten yet, but for now it'll do. Maybe now no one will think "Hey! Half the characters have lists, maybe I should add the rest in myself!" Wolfraptor (talk) 17:07, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Whew...rewriting all these bios is taking more time than I thought. I've done all of First Arc Thunderclan up to Dustpelt, Stoneteller, Brook, Scourge, Ashfur, and Bone. The rest will come in due time, hopefully. Also thanks to whoever is adding in little tidbits that I forgot to mention (lot of Cats of the Clans stuff that I haven't read yet lol) Wolfraptor (talk) 17:05, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Sigh. Yet another flood of bullets. I'll clear them out in due time...also, Scourge's bio just exploded. I know the editor probably won't see this, but if they do, can they downsize it? A lot? We can't have the entire plot summary of The Rise of Scourge in his bio. Wolfraptor (talk) 12:39, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
Name Iterations for Characters
To whoever is adding naming trees for each character: why? Certain characters have gone through various names over the course of the books, but do we really need to list the (assumed) kit and apprentice names of every cat? We never knew Whitestorm when he was a kit, so why mention it here? Also, if you're going to add names, please for the love of God spell it right! 192.91.173.42 (talk) 17:41, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Changed title names to only one name - for example, for most of the First Arc series Firestar is known as Fireheart, so that is his title name for the First Arc. Removed unneeded names for warriors only referred to by a single name in the books. 192.91.173.36 (talk) 18:33, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Hey, you know, I kind of like whatever the last person did with the stats for each character: deleting them. A lot less confusion that way. Wolfraptor (talk) 18:46, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Problem solved: we now have a naming convention clarification on top of the page. Wolfraptor (talk) 18:30, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Missing characters
I'm adding in BloodClan and the Tribe as well as various other fairly important cats not mentioned here. The bios are stubs at the moment but I'll flesh them out when I get to them. Any relationship stats, physical descriptions, and full names (for the Tribe mainly) can be added freely, if you know them. Wolfraptor (talk) 14:18, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
The list is growing. Are we for the opinion, then, that every warrior should be mentioned in this page? Or should it be trimmed down to only major characters? Or should there be a split for major and minor? It looks like we're going for every character, so if that's the case someone will need to add: Spiderleg, Sootfur, Rainwhisker, Gorsepaw, Morningflower, Littlecloud, Whiteclaw, Runningnose, Midnight, Purdy, Shrewpaw, Sorreltail, Mudclaw, Mudfur, Ivypaw, Toadpaw(what's his warrior name now?), Berrynose, Honeypaw, Poppypaw, Rainfur, Shortwhisker/Hutch, Boulder, Jaggedtooth, Rock, Fallen Leaves, Willowpaw, Rowanclaw, Russetfur...and others that I can't think of off the top of my head. Also a section for StarClan and Tribe of Endless Hunting. Lol. I'll do it once I get past all the others already on there, but anyone who wants to assist is welcome. Wolfraptor (talk) 18:48, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- Nightstar is a notable omission. BrokenSphereMsg me 17:08, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
- Good call. Also I forgot Ferncloud, the perpetual mother-machine. Still working on existing cats for now, but they'll get there.Wolfraptor (talk) 20:41, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Runningnose (the madicine cat with allergies) doesn't have any mention in either the minor or major characters of ShadowClan. Also, Raggedstar's code needs to be fixed. Drakonis (talk) 17:02, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Rocktalon????
What's all this crap about some cat named Rocktalon?????Checkyesjuliet (talk) 15:26, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- He's very annoying, that much is certain. The entire half of the page was deleted the last time he tried to enter himself into the code. Wolfraptor (talk) 18:40, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- First time i saw it, i deleted it. Then all of a sudden he was back and your right; half the content was goneCheckyesjuliet (talk) 21:50, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism
Someone has been blatantly vandalizing this page. They've been adding absurd characters and screwing up the HTML, so much that when I last visited the page I thought over half the text had been deleted. Thankfully it's not, but this needs to stop. I'm new to this whole thing, so I don't know how to report things like this, so someone else needs to do it. So far the page has been vandalized twice in the last 3 days. Wolfraptor (talk) 16:07, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- On the grand scale of things this isn't that bad. When you see vandalism, just revert it and say you're reverting vandalism in the edit summary. If it gets really, really bad I can semi-protect the article, but it's not at all needed yet. If you want you can add some warning templates to the user talk pages of the vandals when you revert (which can be found at WP:User warning templates). If things get too out of hand you can head over to WP:AIV to make a report. Cheers. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 17:10, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Cool. Thanks for the info; I've also made a backup of the page so any serious problems that arise can be fixed pretty easily. Wolfraptor (talk) 18:17, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Category?
So I noticed the category flag today. Does anyone know of a category this would fit under? Wolfraptor (talk) 14:07, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- I added the tag, just so ya' know. I'll go look for some. --lifebaka (talk - contribs) 15:23, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, two have been added. I'll see if there are any others, then. --lifebaka (talk - contribs) 15:24, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Header levels
Please leave the header levels the way they are. The Manual of Style says it's supposed to be this way here; which is kinda' weird, I know, but the first level header (=BLAH=
) really only exists these days for sandboxes and stuff (i.e. weird page transclusions). Please start with 2nd level headers (==BLAH==
) and add more from there. Thanks. --lifebaka (talk - contribs) 19:45, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Is it possible to create a line with the third-tier header for clans? Maybe I'm just a formatting nazi, but that doesn't look right. Wolfraptor (talk) 12:03, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- It'd look weird compared the rest of the wiki, but you can create a line with

. It looks like this:

Rock?/
Hi, I'm just going to make this one comment, but what about Rock? I mean, he is a pretty important character (albeit he is dead), and he talks for the entire second field guide book. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.148.201.138 (talk) 00:06, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
- We'll throw in Rock at some point. Not sure where to put him, though...Tribe? Make a new heading for ancient cats? Does Fallen Leaves deserve to be added as well? Wolfraptor (talk) 12:46, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Inter-page Links
I've started up a template that provides links to each Clan's section in a given series, as well as the series sections themselves. This would provide a quick navigation to any given Clan if it is mentioned in a character's bio. Anyone else think this is a good idea? I've started from the top of the page (as with my bio rewrites) so you can get a decent idea of how it works. Obviously this would take a long time to finish, so anyone who wants to add in the code to existing mentions is certainly welcome. I'm thinking 1 or 2 links per Clan per character, so we don't have like 8 ThunderClan links in a single bio lol. The syntax is provided in the ones I've already done, just make sure you link to the correct series version of a given clan (don't link to First Arc ThunderClan if you're writing about Jaypaw, etc.) Wolfraptor (talk) 17:01, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'll go work on it too, starting at the bottom. Also, for reference, usually things are only linked once per major section, so I'm guessing once per character should be fine (two in extremely long cases, maybe). And it's not technically a template, but the difference doesn't matter for right now. Also, you can do the links to other parts of the page (I shall call those intra-page links for now) can be done as
[[#BLAH|BLAH]]
instead of[[List of characters in the Warriors novel series#BLAH|BLAH]]
. Also x2, if anyone needs help writing any actual templates, leave me a message at my talk page. Cheers. --lifebaka (talk - contribs) 17:10, 22 July 2008 (UTC) - It looks like there are some where the names have changed. I haven't read any of the books, so someone more knowledgeable than I about the series will have to go link them. I'm guessing that the end part of the name changes, but I'm not sure. Cheers. --lifebaka (talk - contribs) 17:37, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, that makes the markup look so much better lol. Template, linking system, whatever...which names are you referring to, by the way? The names of the characters themselves is pretty confusing I'll admit, since most well-established characters have gone through 3 or 4 names (-kit, -paw, -<warrior-specific>, -star). Wolfraptor (talk) 18:10, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- Specifically the -kits at Tawnypelt; if it's just ending changes I can figure it out, but it might be better to have someone who knows it better check it all out still. There's also Silverstream, who appears to be Crowpaw from what I've read, but it doesn't mention this in Silverstream's text. I've also missed linking Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight, because for whatever reason the links to them didn't work (I'd guess typos or something on my part). Cheers. --lifebaka (talk - contribs) 18:47, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- With the exception of Brightheart (who was once Lostface), no cat should have undergone a full name change through the course of the series...so I'm not sure why Crowpaw (Crowfeather) would be linked to Silverstream. Oh well, minor trifles at best. I'm pretty good with the series so I'll be sure to fix anything that looks off. Wolfraptor (talk) 19:03, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Article size
I'm not sure if this is a problem yet or not, but this article is getting...long. Wiki's article mentions 32KB as a guideline, and we've got 3 times that here. Should there be a split involved? Maybe a separate page for each clan, or series, or something? As it is I like the way we have it here, but again...long. I'll keep rewriting regardless. Wolfraptor (talk) 17:28, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- I've been thinking the same thing for a while. Personally, I like the idea of splitting off a List of minor characters in the Warriors novel series and leaving only main characters on this article, maybe more splits if necessary. However, this can wait until everything else on the page is done; it's more important to have good content than shorter articles. Cheers. lifebaka++ 17:31, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure if that's a good idea. The last time each type of characters (ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, RiverClan, other characters, and SkyClan) got their own articles, all six articles were deleted. I didn't have my username at the time, but I was around back then, under another name. Bramblestar (ShadowClan Leader) (talk) 01:41, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
References
Yet another logistics question: what's the deal with the references? Should we be using the format listed after cats in the new prophecy series (Brambleclaw, etc), where we just throw in all six books at the end as a reference? Or do they need to be inserted into the text at each point? Wolfraptor (talk) 15:41, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- It'd be better if they could be inserted into the text at the right places, but just sticking the proper books at the end is a passable solution. My thought is do whatever's easiest and works for you. Cheers. lifebaka++ 15:47, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
In-universe
OK, this article is looking pretty much like what we had for our last list of Warriors characters. It is ALL in-universe. We either need to clean it up or have it deleted again. So I propose:
- First, a "Concept and Creation" section
- Second, a "Critical Reception" section
- Third, cut down on the massive descriptions of the characters
- Fourth, for the minor characters that are only mentioned once or twice, perhaps a table would work best?
- Fifth, get a good coyeditor to look over this page
- Sixth, a peer review
Any comments? Shrewpelt (talk) 13:20, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
I dont like coyediters nearly as much as guppyediters ;)Mr. Invisible Person (talk) 04:14, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm all for cleaning up the page. Comments:
- Concept and Creation...vague. Do you mean an explanation as to why certain characters were written into the series?
- Critical reception...We have one. It's in the main Warriors page. I'd suspect it would be slightly difficult to find reputable sources for the public's opinion on given characters.
- Massive descriptions...ok, I can work on this one. You'd have to specify which ones are too long, however, in which case a separate page may be needed. I was thinking we might split this up into Clan-specific pages eventually anyway, once the proper writing was done.
- Minor characters...yes. The list is waaaay too long at the moment, taken up by minor or single-instance characters. A single minor characters page would do well here, leaving major characters to be detailed in the "main" pages. Again, based on the possible split, and again, after the main writing is done.
- Coeditor...so far lifebaka hasn't had too many issues with content, and content is by far my main contribution. I'd say I've edited about 60% of the page at the moment, but when it's supposedly "finished", I'd agree we should have it looked over by a mod or other wiki staff.
- Peer review...same as above.
- Overall, I don't really see how we can bring a list of characters out of universe in terms of content. An example is the list of supporting characters in the Harry Potter series, which is written in much the same style. There could, of course, be plenty of issues with original research here that I'm not currently aware of, but I'm sure that would be brought up when we present the article to a mod or coeditor. Sorry for the massive response, by the way...Wolfraptor (talk) 16:22, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- For "Concept and Creation, this involves telling what factors went into making each characters. For example, according to The Rise of Scourge, Victoria Holmes made Scourge just to be a really scary villian for Darkest Hour, and didn't think about why Scourge was like that at first. For "Critical Reception", I have found some reviews that mention the characters (this one, for example). As for splitting the page, making even more out-of-universe articles for individual cats would be extremely challenging. Let's stick with one article for now. That is why I say a table would work best, because it mould shorten the list and make the Table of Contents a little shorter. And other lists of characters have become FLs, so it is not impossible for us to bring this list out of universe. Shrewpelt (talk) 17:39, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- We'll need a lot of research to be able to put creation details into most characters. Same for critical reception, since most reviews I've seen only mention the narrators. As for a table...I'll try and come up with a script for that. What's a FL, by the way?Wolfraptor (talk) 13:48, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Here's my first attempt at a table:
Name | Description |
---|---|
Dappletail | ThunderClan elder. Dies in Moonrise from eating an infected rabbit. |
One-eye | ThunderClan elder. Dies in Rising Storm from smoke inhalation during the fire. |
Patchpelt | ThunderClan elder. |
The content is incomplete, obviously. I just threw it together. Any tweaks you would add? Color, style, etc. Wolfraptor (talk) 14:42, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll try to clean the page up as well, but I'll have to read the Warriors books again, and get caught up with the rest of you (I helped out with WikiProject: Warriors as Oceanstream before the old list got deleted), as I haven't read Warriors for a few months. Bramblestar (ShadowClan Leader) (talk) 01:49, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Looks pretty good. Perhaps we could have a color for each Clan? Perhaps green for ThunderClan, blue RiverClan, light brown WindClan, black ShadowClan. Also, I would like to see it alphabetized, and also have the major characters of each Clan instead be in prose format. When I have time (a long time from now) I'll work on this. Oh, FL means Featured List. Shrewpelt (talk) 16:55, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- I like the idea of colors. I actually experimented with the table's background colors but couldn't find the scripting for text color so I left it blank for the moment. No problem with alphabetizing, but could you clarify prose format? Does that imply removing the encyclodpedic tone, or converting descriptive tenses to past instead of present? Or something entirely different altogether? Wolfraptor (talk) 20:32, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- New attempt at a table:
Name | Pelt Color | Description |
---|---|---|
Patchpelt | Black/White | Elder. Dies in Rising Storm due to smoke inhalation from the forest fire. |
Dappletail | Dappled Tortoiseshell | Elder. Dies in Moonrise of The New Prophecy series from eating a poisoned rabbit. |
Smallear | Gray | Elder. Often grumpy and compains often. Taunts Tawnypelt about her father, causing her to leave the Clan. Dies of unknown causes in between The Darkest Hour and Firestar's Quest. |
Name | Pelt Color | Description |
---|---|---|
Heavystep | Tabby | Warrior. Walks with a limp due to deformed leg. |
Name | Pelt Color | Description |
---|---|---|
Gorsepaw | Ginger/White | Apprentice rescued as a kit by Firestar during WindClan's return to its territory in Fire and Ice. Killed by Tigerstar in The Darkest Hour as an example to WindClan. |
Name | Pelt Color | Description |
---|---|---|
Clawface | Brown | Warrior. Killed Spottedleaf during a raid on ThunderClan in Into the Wild. Killed by Graystripe during a later battle with ThunderClan in Fire and Ice. |
Thoughts? Naturally I'd have to find ways of cleaning up all the marker code. Wolfraptor (talk) 20:06, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
- I've gone ahead and completed the ThunderClan table and put it up. Any problems, let me know. Also, inter-page links to minor characters in a table no longer work apparently, so we'll probably have to get rid of them. Wolfraptor (talk) 16:42, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Images
I don't know the rules of posting pictures to this site, but is there a legal way to upload pictures of the cats who have been illustrated so far? I'm thinking most of these would have to come from Cats of the Clans, in which case a scanner would be needed. Is this possible? Wolfraptor (talk) 14:50, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
No, I've tried that before, before Cats of the Clans was released. I was able to scan a page from Secrets of the Clans. It was on my computer, I just couldn't upload it to Wikipedia. I didn't officially have a username back then, but I used a temporary account sometimes. Bramblestar (ShadowClan Leader) (talk) 01:45, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Could images just of the clan symbols be put at the beginning of each clan? it would making skimming for a certain plan easier, and those images can be found easily on the internet. (i'm not clear on the rules of image posting but it may be a good idea?)156.34.181.176 (talk) 03:33, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
Cats spanning multiple series
I'm having trouble coming up with an organization scheme for this. If we're using a "minor characters" section for each Clan for each series, how would you go about characters that are minor in one series but major in another? For example, I would call Bramblepaw a minor character in the First Arc but a major character (Brambleclaw) in the New Prophecy. Does that mean I should list him in the minor table for First Arc while leaving his full profile in the New prophecy section? And if so, should I be including Firestar, Graystripe etc. as minor characters in subsequent series? Obviously this would lead to a lot of Thunderclan characters being listed multiple times as minor characters. What are everyone else's thoughts on this? Wolfraptor (talk) 19:46, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- Well, why do there have to be tables for every series? Why not make just 4(one for every clan). Within the table there could be a section that says what series they've been in. Just a thought. Checkyesjuliet (talk) 22:23, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- That's a decent idea. To take it one step further, why do we have the main dividers being series anyway? It could just be the four Clans, mentioning every character and what series they've been in (switch out the series and clan titles) Wolfraptor (talk) 13:04, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- So here's a suggestion for the page organization based on Chuckyesjuliet's comment: instead of THIS -
- FIRST ARC....................................................THUNDERCLAN
- ThunderClan...................................................First Arc
- RiverClan.......................................................New Prophecy
- WindClan.......................................................Power of Three
- ShadowClan.............we could do THIS -...........Minor Characters
- NEW PROPHECY..........................................RIVERCLAN
- ThunderClan...................................................First Arc
- RiverClan.......................................................New Prophecy
- etc................................................................etc.
- Thoughts? Wolfraptor (talk) 17:28, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
the fourth apprentice
i think i know what the fourth apprentice is, it is the fourth apprentice of firestar the first three are: cinderpaw(first series), cloudpaw(first series), bramblepaw(first series and firestars quest) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Silverstar of skyclan vs. 2 (talk • contribs) 22:10, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

- I'm sure we'll get an idea as to who the fourth apprentice is later on in Sunrise. This series just got a heck of a lot more mysterious. Wolfraptor (talk) 17:49, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
Spoiler Warning
It would probably be good to put a spoiler warning somewhere on this page... I haven't read Eclipse yet...and I'm not very happy, though I managed to x out of the page quick enough.
98.169.144.248 (talk) 17:51, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, this does need a spoiler warning. I've read all the books, but not everyone has. This has alot of info that people would not know if they did not read the latest book.Checkyesjuliet (talk) 18:49, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
...WOW on Ashfur's updated bio. That is really not cool. Then again, Heatherpaw's supposed "death" in Eclipse was false too, so maybe people are just being stupid. Tell you what, I'm just going to stay away from this page until I read Long Shadows when it comes out. I advise others do the same. Then we can come back and edit properly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfraptor (talk • contribs) 13:59, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
This in an encyclopedia it doesn't have spoiler warnings (unfortunately i would like to add them but we cant) as for false info, it should be removed or if it is mistake, fixed. 156.34.181.176 (talk) 03:38, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
STOP THE BULLETS AND MULTIPLE NAMES
Hey there people, sorry for the CAPS title but I figured people would notice it better. Based on my knowledge of this page's past history, this article is looking kinda close to being up for deletion due to the mess that's been made of it recently. By this I mean the return of the BULLET stats at the bottom of each character's bio, the constant changing of characters' names, the addition of spoiler rumors into the PoT characters, the entire plot summary of The Rise of Scourge in Scourge's bio, etc. I've tried to fix this in the past by adding a description of how characters are named and integrating the information contained in the bullets into the text, but apparently some editors either don't read this or don't understand the concept of redundancy. Obviously I don't have the time to keep a constant watch on this article anymore, but haven't we already established a style that involves no bullets or multiple names? Wolfraptor (talk) 03:14, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
Character Bios
Some of the bios are written rather poorly, and I even spotted bias in the Leafpool article. I've rewritten the Leafpool article a bit (there was alot of "Leafpool's wonderful mentor", "Leafpool is a beautiful cat" etc), but I think someone with more knowledge on the other characters should take over. Also, with Leafpool, I added the "Leafpool Theory", where it is rumored that Leafpool is the mother of the three kits in The Power of Three series. I saw that the rumor about Ashfur plotting with Hawkfrost was in Ashfur's bio, so I figured it'd be okay to add the rumor about Leafpool. If everyone disagrees, I'll promptly remove it. - It's always good to have editors who care about the writing itself. Update any bios you see fit, by all means. - So far, I've updated the bios in The New Prophecy series. The others seem fine, though I'll have to read through the bios of other Clans to be completly sure. Squirrelflight needed the most work. Very poorly written, and alot of unneeded information. R e i k a 02:28, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Jaypaw/Jayfeather
Hasn't Jaypaw not received his full name yet? It says that it's up until the end of Eclipse, and he's still Jaypaw at the end of Eclipse, he isn't Jayfeather yet. 99.224.41.7 (talk) 18:16, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Speculation on the murder of Ashfur
Hello, Wikipedians. I was reading Ashfur's section, and I came across a section that bothers me. "Squirrelflight is the obvious murderer". This seems to be blatant speculation, which I thought was frowned upon on Wikipedia. Ranvenpaw's Bio
Ravenpaw is a loner (a cat that's not a kittypet or Clan cat)with Barley, another loner. Ravenpaw was being threatend by his mentor, Tigerclaw. His friends Firepaw and Graypaw led Ravenpaw to Barley to become a loner. Therefore, Ravenpaw did not need to suffer through Tigerclaw's threats. I would gladly insert Runningnose into the Minor Characters section if I knew how. For those who don't know who he is, Runningnose was ShadowClan's medicine cat after Yellowfang got exiled. If someone would add him, it would really help. >Drakonis< (talk) 18:46, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- I added Runningnose to the table. I can't remember many details off the top of my head, though, like fur color or when he died. If you want to flesh it out a bit just click the "edit" link above the Shadowclan table, and add to the text referring to Runningnose. Just try to keep the code as it is, though, otherwise the whole thing will display incorrectly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfraptor (talk • contribs) 21:00, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Leafpool's Rank
I'm a bit confused on one thing and the article didn't mention it; is Leafpool still medicine cat? Whether she is or isn't, I think it should be added to the article. I've read the book, and even though Leafpool SAID that she knew she couldn't be medicine cat anymore, it was never confirmed, unless I missed that part. Yellowfang, after all, stayed a medicine cat after bearing kits. By the way, this isn't subject to conversation. I'm just a bit confused and I think any answer to my question should be added to the article, to clear up any confusion this might spark with other people. ~Reika 麗香 22:07, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Family Trees
Right, so I went and deleted all the references to family trees from the main Warriors site. Why? I went to one of Vicky's tours last spring, at which one of the people there asked about the family trees. Vicky said that the people who were making the website (who were not the authors) asked about including the family trees. Vicky said no, but the people added trees anyway. Those are false. I don't have a physical source to cite, but I'm a member of Wands and Worlds under the name Lakestorm Wright, and at the upcoming chat (June 27) I plan to ask about the trees simply for the ability to create a physical source.
Rather than explain what the problems with the family trees on the Warriors website, a while back I compiled a large image that showed the family trees of the Clan cats. That can be found at http://www.wandsandworlds.com/community/node/7366. I am planning to fix it to contain non-Clan cats in the future as well. Additionally, and though these are not in the family tree I linked to yet, the Bluestar's Prophecy excerpt from the Seekers book Smoke Mountain shows that there was a cat called Whitepaw that was an apprentice when Bluestar and Snowfur were kits. A cat called Swiftbreeze is the mother of Patchpelt and a cat called Leopardkit, while there is also a pregnant queen called Poppydawn.
Hope I helped. 66.20.190.237 (talk) 19:15, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
HollyLeaf
In two seperate places I have seen two completly opposite things on the same topic. In one place it said that is was confirmed in a chat with Vicky Holmes that Hollyleaf is alive and hiding in the caves, and in another part I have seen it saying that in a chat it was said that Vicky Holmes said that she was confirmed dead in the caves. Just noting, this should be fixed. It also says in both that Dovekit and Ivykit is not one of the three, in the other it says they might be. In the HollyLeaf section it says she was confirmed dead, in the Sunrise section it is said that she is alive. This should be fixed, just to be noted. 75.156.195.99 (talk) 03:10, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
More family issues
Okay, we all know the family trees are false. So any speculation, stop putting it in unless it's been in the books. I've just removed from many of the bios information saying that Dustpelt and Ravenpaw were brothers and the kits of Fuzzypelt and Robinwing (who aren't even mates for sure). Also, more saying that Sandstorm is Brindleface's daughter. I'm not trying to be harsh or blame anyone, it's just annoying to see incorrect info 99.240.84.206 (talk) 22:54, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
Actually, Victoria Holmes confirmed that information.
She has a Facebook, you see (I do know what youre thinking- I was skeptical about it until I saw a link on Kate Cary's Blog about it. She has also confirmed information on there that turns out to be true, so it's completely legit)
Victoria confirmed who parented Sandstorm (Redtail and Brindleface), Graystripe (Patchpelt and Willowpelt), Ravenpaw (Fuzzypelt and Robinwing), Dustpelt (Fuzzypelt and Robinwing), Longtail (Robinwing and Patchpelt), and Darkstipe (Willowpelt and Tawnyspots). Some of her answers were, indeed, strange, but she's the cheif Erin, so I guess her word is law.
You can view this information on her Facebook page ( http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Vicky-Holmes-13-of-the-Erin-Hunters/29566467453?ref=mf )
or on the Fansite Warrior's Wish
( http://www.warriorswish.net/ ) ( http://www.warriorswish.net/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9027 )
And, of course, if you're still skeptical I can ask her during the next Wands and Worlds chat, if you'd like. --97.92.80.31 (talk) 02:04, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
i checked that link. i didn't see her answering any warriors related questions- and i don't see why she should. after all, she said she didn't know who Graystripe's parents are on Wands and Worlds, so why should it be any different on facebook? You got the absurd idea that Patchpelt and Willowpelt are Graystripe's parents from the offical site, which has been proven false many times. Besides, Willowpelt and Patchpelt are SIBLINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And, given the fact that you claimed other hard to believe things, (that i am too lazy to list right now,) I doubt you're even reading the series.--138.89.175.114 (talk) 02:05, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Ohhh. Whoops... Sorry, I didn't realize that... Haha, I didn't realize it was confirmed. 99.240.84.206 (talk) 22:44, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Even more family issues
It has been confirmed NUMEROUS times that the family trees on the Warrior cats official site are FALSE. Graystripe's parents are unknown. The Erins confirmed it on Wands and worlds a number of times. And it is IMPOSSIBLE for Pacthpelt and Willowpelt to be his mother and father anyway. THEY ARE SIBLINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have no proof that Whitestorm fathered Ashfur and Ferncloud. It's possible, but there's no proof. And what's all this crap about Brindleface being Sandstorm's mother? When Ashfur and Ferncloud where born in Into The Wild, Yellowfang even said that they where her first litter. sandstorm is older than them, do the math... and is it REALLY neisisarry (sorry can't spell) to put their entire family? There great-great-grandparents are irrelevant!--138.89.175.114 (talk) 01:57, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Hm... you have a point. next time, try explaining why you're removing so many things from one page at a time. Then I might not undo your changes, because I had no idea what you were doing. Go ahead and fix the graystripe and whitestorm and brindleface issues. I won't stop you. But the great-great grandparents should be left on... other people may find the information relevant, and wikipedia's intent is to provide concise information.
Nice eye, for noticing this. Not even I did. Brambleclawx (talk) 02:08, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Not to mention that if Brindleface were Sandstorm's mother, that would make Ashfur uncle to Squirrelflight. 24.7.32.178 (talk) 02:09, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
Ashfur uncle to Squirrelflight. Eeek D: ♫AppleDapple♫ (talk) 03:33, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Some people believe it though, so be on the lookout for things like that. Things to watch out for are mentions of Ashfur being related in any way to Lion, Jay, Squirrel, Leaf, etc. Also, I don't think warriors have "in-laws", so I remove mentions of in-laws. Brambleclawx 19:52, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Split the page?
ok... this page really needs to be split up. it even shows up in wikipedia's long pages list at number 8.
What I plan to do, in maybe a week if no one objects, is to save all the code as a txt file on my flash drive, then split the article into multiple Clan sections: Thunder, Shadow, River, Wind, Sky/Blood, Tribe/ancient, and cats outside of clans. In the case that wikipedia decides to delete these pages as they seem to like doing whenever we split this page, then we can restore it to its orignal form by my pasting the code back onto the page.
if anyone has sugestions and objections, please inform me. Brambleclawx (talk) 02:33, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- Another possible suggestion would be to cut down on some of the intricate details, which could be described as more fan-based than encyclopedic. PrincessofLlyr (talk) 19:20, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, but then again, there are some fans who consider this important (I am an example, but I will not force this idea on anyone), and it provides a good way of tracing lineage throughout the series. Brambleclawx (talk) 22:05, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- One thing we could do is convert everything into table format. I see that it is already used sometimes, but the article's length may be reduced is less intricate details are used. Considering the size of the page, it would be a major undertaking and would need someone with decent knowledge of the books. I've read all of them (including the super editions) and could help, but I'm a bit busy with school as well as the PJTF. As for the split, it'd be choppy, but we could possibly make an article for each clan. The only problem is that some of the cats switch clans. We could make the proposed tables collapsible, but that wouldn't cut down on the time it takes to open the page. The best thing I can think of is cutting out the fluff and making the descriptions more trim and concise without compromising major details. Airplaneman talk 02:24, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

- Yes, they look great! We can keep this article as sort of a "directory" linking to the others. I think we can go ahead and create the pages now, if you want. On this page, we should keep a summary of each clan, and maybe brief summaries of the major cats. Then, we can use the {{seealso}} template to link the reader to a full description! Airplaneman talk 03:41, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, and I assume you copied and pasted the sections, right? Just making sure :) Airplaneman talk 03:43, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Basically, I was thinking that we'd keep the original page (this one), for its explanation of naming conventions. Then maybe we could keep the Clan headings and have a link under each to their respective Clan pages. Pretty much like your ideas. And yes, I copied and pasted, so apparently, we need to give credit to the original contributors by placing a "copied" template or something.
I have this issue under a discussion in Wikiproject Novels as well, but no one is responding much, so maybe soon, we can work on tweaking what I've got, so when its ready, we can put it on.
Brambleclawx (talk) 03:51, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
This is what I envision as the current page after I finish the split, but I need help adding citations. And no, I do not mind you editing these pages, as long as none of the actual content is changed. We can do that after the split is done.
