[edit]> Please consider adding in Cerowrt (https://www.bufferbloat.net/projects/cerowrt/) as well.
I dont know if this is the right place to go to ask, but can some one make a table on the router firmware projects that shows a comparison of features?
Different Person--May i suggest that the page be organised into openwrt-based and non-open-wrt based instead of the major and minor? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.209.39.143 (talk) 08:51, 17 July 2010 (UTC)
- I would second that, especially, because there is no description of what the distinction criteria for major and minor actually are.

in correct formatting of bullets?
[edit]why are the bullets under the open-WRT bullet indented? shouldnt they be having the same indent (ie, none)? 23-v,340vpe4wtme4p;t,e0 (talk) 17:10, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Page should be updated
[edit]This page is linked in the footer of many detail pages for routing sofware (firmware packages or distribution based) under the name "Routing Software". Many of those pages are not backlinked by this page though.
The structure of the page could be improved as well to reflect the content of the Template:Routing_Software. --M4dIVIaX (talk) 18:35, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
Distinction between major and minor projects
[edit]What is the rationale for the distinction between major and minor projects? — Preceding unsigned comment added by M4dIVIaX (talk • contribs) 18:59, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
Page title
[edit]The title of the page implies, that it deals only with software, which has been written explicitly for the purpose of running a WIRELESS router, whereas almost all of the mentioned projects can also be run on conventional routers without a wireless radio. I would suggest to rename the page to "List_of_router_firmware_projects".--M4dIVIaX (talk) 19:14, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
- Done. --Itu (talk) 18:58, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
Feature comparisons
[edit]I feel like this article could benefit from being updated into something like Comparison of web frameworks. I noticed this article which basically said that OpenWRT's GUI is extremely limited without Gargoyle, which is good information (not sure that's still true). II | (t - c) 06:54, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

OPNsense
[edit]OPNsense shouldn't be deleted unless you delete other REDLINKs too.
I didn't add OPNsense to this article, but I did find it's existence to be useful, because I wasn't aware of it until recent days. Over the past year, I've been watching articles listed in this article to learn more about router firmware projects, in the hopes that at some point that I'll install one of these on a dedicated computer.
