untitled

[edit]

I've deleted a fact from trivia that I highly doubt is true:

  • Had a small cameo in Batman Begins as one of Ra's Al Ghul's ninjas.

If it was, it would have been reported by Batman on Film or IMDB. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Twenty8 (talkcontribs) 03:04, 23 April 2006.

Subjectivity

[edit]

Their fears were proven "wrong"? This isn't very objective. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 144.138.223.116 (talkcontribs) 13:18, 10 September 2006.

Salary

[edit]

I changed the bit about Warners may or not have refused his demands for pay in 1995. This is false, wrong details on a story not many remember. The A&E Biography special about Keaton reveals that after he initially turned down the third Batman film, WB tried to keep him by offering 35 million, but he still declined. He said on the special: "It was like they were saying, 'Here, Michael... here's 35 million in exchange for your soul.'" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.130.140.194 (talkcontribs) 04:54, 30 May 2006.

The origin of his stage name

[edit]

The article says that he chose the name "Keaton" because of Buster Keaton, but the claim has no source provided. He was just on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (the Monday June 26 episode) and Colbert asked him about this. Keaton denied that the choice of name had anything to do with Buster Keaton (or Diane Keaton) and said that it was chosen more or less randomly. 99.192.79.198 (talk) 04:16, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This article just came out: "Michael Keaton's Real Name Is Michael Douglas. Now, After Decades in Showbiz, He's Going to Start Using It (Exclusive)": "I was looking through — I can't remember if it was a phone book," says Keaton, 72, raising those famously expressive eyebrows at times as he talks. "I must've gone, 'I don't know, let me think of something here.' And I went, 'Oh, that sounds reasonable.'" Mike Allen 14:41, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Change Keaton's photo

[edit]

No offense but the photo chosen is very unflattering, and from 9 years ago. There has got to be something that looks better... or more recent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheWikipedian05 (talkcontribs) 23:40, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The most recent photo of Keaton is File:Michael Keaton (NYCC 2014).JPG, which is not any better than the current photo. --Wow (talk) 09:01, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That photo is from 2014, ten years ago. That is not recent. CapnZapp (talk) 17:24, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This seems to be the most recent photo associated with a move he did called "Knox Goes Away"

Michael Keaton or Michael Keaton Douglas

[edit]

There has recently been a lot of reverting and changing on this article regarding what to refer to the actor as; Michael Keaton or Michael Keaton Douglas? I am neutral in this topic, but I believe there should be a discussion where we can form a consensus on what to use, going forward. -- Mjks28 (talk) 00:30, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why not just contact his reps and ask them? Nosehair2200 (talk) 01:12, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That would be original research. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 06:06, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Right, don't ask the actual person what name he wants to go by because that would be "original research". How do you even write an article about any subject matter without doing and using any original research? I remember an episode on STTNG when Dr. Polaski mispronounced Lt. Data's name and after he corrected her, she actually asked him what the difference was. He told her that his name is pronounced "Daytah" and not "Dahtah".
