Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (This is a well known Scottish athlete who competed in Scottish athletics from 1985 - 1990, he is well known and contributed a great deal to the world of Scottish athletics and is well known in his area of North Lanarkshire as well as Scotland in general.

There is many references to him in Scottish athletic wikis on this site and have added links of interest, I assure you he is a person of interest.) --Brett ~ KaraokeMac (talk) 11:04, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
