Conflict of interest

[edit]

At least one major contributor to this article appears to have a close personal or professional connection to the topic, and thus to have a conflict of interest. Conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but are always welcome to propose changes on the talk page (i.e., here). You can attract the attention of other editors by putting {{request edit}} (exactly so, with the curly parentheses) at the beginning of your request, or by clicking the link on the lowest yellow notice above. Requests that are not supported by independent reliable sources are unlikely to be accepted.

Please also note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 13:40, 6 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification of edits

[edit]

Dear Justlettersandnumbers, can you please clarify me why did you delete my whole edits of the article? The edits were meant to contain less "promotional material" which was the major problem of the previous author. Furthermore, you deleted them without warning in the advance, which I consider very rude. If you bothered to check reference you would see that not all sources lead to the company's website and that company is very much present in the mainstream Serbian media. --VuXman talk 09:54, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Serbianboy! I reverted your edits because the overall tone of the content you added was not appropriate to an encyclopaedia, and read much more like a company press release. It's hard to see how phrases like "most notably", "one of the best employers", "a prestigious Serbian based", "proclaimed Nordeus as the best", "furthermore, the famous" or "one of the biggest of its kind" could be considered anything but WP:PUFFERY or WP:PEACOCK terms. That's not suitable language for an encyclopaedia article. What's needed here is a neutral and dispassionate account of what the company is and what it has done. This isn't the place to talk about how wonderful it is – that's better kept for its own website or Facebook or somewhere.
By the way, I notice today (as I did not yesterday) that some of the content that you added was copied directly from sources such as this and this (see the comparisons here and here). That is copyright violation, and is not allowed here under any circumstances. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 16:04, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for a quick answer, Justlettersandnumbers. I agree on all your points and it really opened my eyes. I will try to include more relevant and neutral stuff, and will post it in my sandbox. I will invite you to judge it if it is ok to include it (if you are willing that is). The thing is that this company is basically very popular in the Serbia and West Balkans in general, because it is one of the few successful in Serbia that is socially active and it deserves a better article then current version. Thank you again for your time.--VuXman talk 18:50, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your understanding and your collegial attitude, Serbianboy! I'm going to suggest that you make your changes right here, to the article, but go at them a little more slowly – and perhaps a little more carefully? – than before. I think several people are watching this page, while probably few or none watch your sandbox, so that's more likely to lead to a collaborative result. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:00, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New contributions

[edit]

Dear Justlettersandnumbers, may I present you suggestions for enrichment of article.

Comment: Since no one responded, I'm gonna update article with recommendend changes. Please consult me if you want to delete them, it is the only thing that is fair.--VuXman talk 14:09, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nordeus is an independent mobile games developer headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia. The studio’s debut game is Top Eleven Football Manager, a free-to-play social football management simulation game.

In 2013, the game reached the top of the top grossing charts in 23 countries on Android, and 68 countries on AppStore, according to data from App Annie.[1]

By December 2016, Top Eleven remains the studio’s only live game.

History

[edit]

The company was founded in 2010 by three ex-Microsoft employees, who are all alumni of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. It is a privately held company with no external funding.[2][3]

By May 2015, Nordeus had more than 160 employees, according to the company’s LinkedIn page.

Top Eleven - Be a Football Manager

[edit]

Top Eleven is an online football management simulation game developed and published by Nordeus. Originally launched on Facebook in May 2010 the game was released on mobile platforms in November 2011.

The game lets players build and manage their own football club and compete with other players in real time.[4] The game is freemium and generates revenue through in-app purchases.

In March 2013, Jose Mourinho became the game promoter for Top Eleven, appearing on the official game icon as well as in-game,[5][6] as an advisor for players in tutorial mode.

Thanks to licensing agreements, official kits and emblems from clubs including Real Madrid C.F., Arsenal F.C., Juventus F.C. and Borussia Dortmund are available for players to purchase and use for their teams.[7]

Philanthropy

[edit]

Nordeus has donated funds to the “Battle for Maternity Wards” campaign initiated by the B92 Fund, helping fully equip 8 maternity wards in Belgrade, Niš, Vranje, Sombor, Kikinda, Zrenjanin and Senta.[8][9][10][11]

Hi, Serbianboy! It looks as if you tried to ping me with this edit. However, you didn't sign it, so I wasn't pinged (you have to sign in the same edit or it doesn't work). I'm sorry if that made me appear rude. Please don't consider me an arbiter of your edits here – I've no knowledge of, and not a huge interest in, this topic. But I'll do my best to take a look at the changes you've made and comment on them if I can think of anything constructive to say. I can't do that now, though. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:52, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No problem Justlettersandnumbers. It was my mistake that I didn't sign, I didn't know that I must do that in order that you receive notification. --VuXman talk 11:52, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
