Yes, it is old (in still is used) Polish Police car (FSO Polonez)

"Historical secret police organizations" should become a sub-category for a "History" section, which should be placed before the "Transportation" section. If anyone could at least create a general "bare-bones" section for this, it could be expanded as needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.194.8.234 (talk) 20:56, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Police cars

[edit]

Polonez and everything old is no longer in use. Polish police owns now stuff like that:

Mostowski Palace

[edit]

There is a mistake: Mostowski Palace is a place of Warsaw's Police Headquarters (pol. Komenda Stołeczna Policji). Genereal Polish Polce Headquarters are in different place, at Puławska Street. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.75.37.178 (talk) 21:43, 26 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ongoing project to redo articles on Polish law enforcement

[edit]

Been working sporadically over the last few months to try to reorganise the articles around Polish law enforcement, and expand some aspects, especially history. History of Polish law enforcement can be done much more thoroughly, and I feel it deserves an article on its own, which I have started to put together here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Curtainrail/History_of_law_enforcement_in_Poland

Not used to writing in discussion pages, so not even very sure that other users can see these pages.

Straż Miejska and the general law enforcement pages already redone. Also working on a new "Policja" article in my sandbox.

If anyone looks at this page, can they let me know what they think of this plan?

the state 'Policja' was renamed

[edit]

Not renamed. Milicja Obywatelska was created from scratch by leftist guerilla members. I don't know how many Blue Police members were accepted, if any so they obtained low positions. The MO was poorly educated.Xx236 (talk) 12:54, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

PolicjaPolice of Poland – The standard naming for articles on police of countries is that we don't generally translate the local name, as it's not unique enough to be a loanword (e.g. Police of Denmark, Police of Finland, Police of the Czech Republic, etc. Brandmeistertalk 09:51, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm inclined to agree with the move as the current title simply means "police" in the Polish language and is not specific enough for Poland.VR talk 15:52, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
