WARNING: ACTIVE ARBITRATION REMEDIES Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Antisemitism in Poland#Article sourcing expectations (22 September 2019): "The sourcing expectations applied to the article Collaboration in German-occupied Poland are expanded and adapted to cover all articles on the topic of Polish history during World War II (1933–45), including the Holocaust in Poland. Only high quality sources may be used, specifically peer-reviewed scholarly journals, academically focused books by reputable publishers, and/or articles published by reputable institutions. English-language sources are preferred over non-English ones when available and of equal quality and relevance. Editors repeatedly failing to meet this standard may be topic-banned as an arbitration enforcement action." Also see the policy Wikipedia:Verifiability#Non-English sources. If you are unsure whether your edit is appropriate, discuss it on this talk page first. |
Problematic source
[edit]The blatant antisemitism of that sourcing tag is troubling. How is the number of people lost in the Holocaust "controversial"? That encyclopedia is likely the only source for this information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:5CC:8301:5430:65F6:DF6A:B08C:9814 (talk) 02:44, 30 December 2020 (UTC)
Yizkor books are not very reliable. This was discussed at Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_90#Primary_sources_as_references. The basic claims about Jewish community are probably accurate, but this type of source is not good for any controversial claims; see also Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Antisemitism_in_Poland#Article_sourcing_expectations. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:25, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
The problematic source is you. You have a long history of defending and giving platform to Polish nationalist antisemitism on here. Strzembosz and Nowak never seem to bother you, but you've taken it upon yourself to vandalize pages to airbrush the Holocaust in Poland. What's controversial about the facts other than that you find them inconvenient?

It not Yizkor book, but translation of Yad Vashem's Pinkas haKehilot encyclopedia. I add 2nd source, Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot, says similar. Nothing controversial in content or sources.--KasiaNL (talk) 05:20, 14 May 2020 (UTC) (banned sock puppet - [1] GizzyCatBella🍁 19:29, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
