McKim Marriott

[edit]

Professor McKim Marriott, the American anthropologist, whose work in the 1950s on the cultural origins of the Raksha Bandhan and Rakhee/Saluno/Rakri traditions in rural North India is much cited in this article, passed away early last month at the age of 100. Here is an appreciation. @RegentsPark: please note. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 02:07, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bad Citations

[edit]

Hi all, I'm currently doing a research paper on Raksha Bandhan and started here to use the citations as a jumping off point, but a good chunk of them are bad. In particular the one for "allindianfestivals.in" which is presently a Polish escort service. Many thanks. Tshieff (talk) 21:24, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Tshieff: I removed that one, thanks. If you see any others, please just remove them and replace them with a {{cn}} (citation needed) tag. RegentsPark (comment) 22:53, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
